New Message: AM I MY BROTHERS KEEPER????

If my brother sins against me and hurts me, what should I do??? What does God expect from me??? How many times must I forgive my brother???? Do I have to love everyone???? What if that person is not a brother in the faith????Do I love him anyway???

When asked how many times we should forgive our brother...in one day, Jesus said you should forgive your brother 7 times 70 times !!!

But also, Jesus said, if you find your brother in a fault, go to him and try to talk things out with him! If he won't listen, keep trying to reach him with LOVE. If all else fails, go to the church (pastor) and have the church talk to him and try to straighten the problem out between you. If that doesn't work, then Jesus said you must treat him like a heathen (which means to love him anyway!) and forgive him. (Matthew 18:21-22)

Brother Kenneth Copeland, a few years ago, wrote an article in the Believers' Voice of Victory, entitled "Turn Your Hurts Into Harvest". In the article, he said: the bible says we are not to allow ourselves to get offended at the calamities which pursue us, as Christians on a daily basis. Instead, we should forgive, love and instead of worrying about the circumstances coming against us and what we will do, we should think of this challenge as an opportunity for God to show himself great in our lives. If you refuse to be offended by someone who is trying to offend or hurt you, you have already won the battle, because the devil can only harm us if we take our eyes off of Jesus and His Word and if we allow ourselves to get angry and out of the love walk. If we believe the Word of God, then we know that if an enemy comes against us one way, God will make him flee from us seven ways! Allow God to have the opportunity to work mightily in your lives and instead of complaining and crying (which accomplish nothing), start praising God for what He is about to do in your life. Give Him the problem and the Glory for fixing it! Chances are you will not be the only winner ...but Jesus will probably reach your offender with your faith and love also!
So Love everyone with the Love of Jesus! The bible says that when you Love your enemy, it is like placing coals of flaming fire upon his head (his conscience). Give God a chance! Praise Him!
And love everyone, even your enemies! They will soon be your friend and brother in Christ!

The Word also says that even if we speak with the tongues of angels, heal the sick, raise the dead, prophecy, etc., if we have not LOVE, then all is for nothing. It is impossible to please God without Faith, and Faith works by LOVE. (I Corr. 13)

Am I my brother's keeper? God's word says: "When you see a brother in a fault, go to him and tell him, if he listens, you have gained a brother!"
