The words "Jesus Freak" was first used in the sixties and early seventies. When hippies became a part of a new revival, called the Jesus movement. It was a time when music and the arts was brought together bringing open expressions of Jesus, that turned a generation to God. It merged rock and roll with gospel message, and inspired the church and shook conventional worship. But back then it seemed a joke to the world to be a Jesus Freak. People see it negatively, probably because of the mostly young people involved. Giving impressions that it's only some fad, and not to be taken seriously. A few decades later it has been taken to a different approach. Now being a Jesus Freak means having a passionate heart for Jesus. Having the willingness to extend that passion into all areas of life. A quick definition would be "commitment". Putting home, family, even oneself behind for God. The love for Jesus is bigger than life itself. That's what it's about. The very nature of Jesus Freaks is to remove themselves from the mentality and ways of the world. It takes tons of faith to overcome everything, and it doesn't look easy.

The classic definition of faith is to be certain of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see (physically). But when we stand back and look at the world, we would begin to have this clear image of everything. For we would see little by little of what God sees. And that gives us an urge to do something. We can see the things we can do and we are encouraged to break away from the crowd that we may do those changes. In a world built in free will instead of God's will, we must be Freaks! To put our selfish ways to death and live by the Spirit and march to the beat different from that of the crowd. Then it will follow. The world will see Jesus.

People may think i am weird and stubborn. But i wouldn't care. I am different and i chose to be. My life is God's, it is He whom I trust. I have chosen to follow the man Who was nailed and hanged on the tree. It was suppose to be me, who should suffer and die on that cross for i am unworthy because of my sins. But He loves me, took my place and I was spared. (that is the greatest love story!) It is finished. Jesus died that we may have life. We do not deserve this, but He loves us. It's His gift. I am a Jesus Freak. And i just pray that in whatever i do, it will make people think of Jesus.

"Jesus changed my life and so can yours. It's not about do's and dont's like everyone says,
But it's all about trusting and having faith in what Jesus did for you.. I believe He is speaking to you..." -Webmaster
