Well. As you know, I am a student, and I'm sorry, but I will be keeping my school name anonymous for all you stalkers out there. I am involved in several school functions, mainly ROTC, 6 choirs, and string, symphonic, and chamber orchestra. Here's the breakdown:
ROTC: I have been involved in ROTC Drill team, Colorguard, Honorguard, Raiders, and an Exhibition Drill Team. Our Battalion is really becoming something. I am the Battalion Executive Officer, or second in charge of our corps of cadets.
CHOIRS!!: These are my favorite school activities because I plan to major in vocal music performance in college, so, there ya go.
SHOW CHOIR: This is one of my all time favorite choirs. We recently became a competing show choir, and we are getting our game together. I especially love it because our group competed in New York, NY last year, and that was the most fun trips I've ever been on. This year, we are performing in Disney LAnd, CA. I CAN'T WAIT!!!!! Anyway, we dance and sing, and it's great.
HONOR'S MADRIGAL: This is my absolute favorite choir. This is the toughest choir to be accepted in. I love it because in this group we have a chamber choir, which performs chamber songs from the baroque and classical era. We have renaissance outfits, and at this year's madrigal dinner, I played the JESTER!! Anyway, it's great. We're performing in Disney with Show choir.
GOSPEL CHOIR: This group is actually supposed to be called "contemporary choir", but we sing a lot of gospel music, so most of us call it gospel choir. It is a lot of fun, and I love the energy we have on stage.
TREBLE CHOIR: This is the high school's entry-level all girls choir. I started there, but now I take it independently. I like it.
MIXED CHORUS: This entry level choir for boys AND girls. I wasn't in this originally, but I decided to take it independently because I LOVED thier song selection. The songs sung in this choir are so awesome I had to join.
CONCERT CHOIR: This is the advanced-level choir for boys and girls. I was promoted to this choir after being treble choir. It's the advanced version of mixed chorus. This is the only choir I have during school with the rest of my classes. It's fun.
ORCHESTRA:I play violin. I have been in orchestra since third grade. My first choice was to play cello, but the school ran out, so I played violin. I like it. Now, I am third chair in symphonic orchestra. I have been in Chamber orchestra, like chamber choir, an advanced choir that plays baroque music, since freshman year. We take trips in orchestra, too. I've been to Tennessee, St. Louis, Toronto, and Florida. Last year I went to Florida RIGHT AFTER I went to New York for choir. That was a great two weeks. That was my last orchestra trip, because we're not going anywhere this year. Oh well. I still love orchestra.
