Still here? Good n.n
Visual novel games! WOO! AWESOME! My favorite has to be the Ace Attorney series. Hotel Dusk and Trace Memory are also very awesometastic. There really aren't enough games of this genre. On the bright side, Square-Enix is planning a murder-mystery like game that is played holding the DS like a book. I'm very excited to hear this because I love Square and them making a visual novel type game is just kewl and neat.

Ace Attorney

Awesome. Just awesome. My friends and I are all going to do Ace Attorney cosplay (and maybe a skit involving Threads of Fate characters as well) at the next anime convention. I get to be the Objection! sign. Yay n.n

You play as Phoenix Wright, rookie defense attorney, and defend your clients in court. In Phoenix's first trial, he defends his childhood friend Larry Butz (when something smells...) after he is accused of murdering his girlfriend. The joy of success is short-lived, however, because his mentor is murdered and her sister is blamed. (I did not spoil the game for you, that's like the first thing that happens and it's written all over the box!)

There are four games in the series, and a prequel starring Miles Edgeworth and his trusty side-kick Detective Gumshoe is on the way! <3 Edgey and Gumshoe, but I don't think I'll like this game as much.

(Oh bummer, looks like you can't listen!)

Like this remake :D? Tell this guy!

Hotel Dusk: Room 215

This game was truly unique. Everyone has secrets, and everyone is connected. The music is beautiful! Pretty pretty. The only problem I have is that it REFUSES TO EMULATE ON ANY EMULATER GAH! I spent forever trying to figure out how to turn the emulator sideways, too! The animation is probably just too awesome for it (taaaaake ooooon meeeeee).

The main character is Kyle Hyde, an former NYPD detective searching for his partner, Bradley. Kyle shot Bradley, who then fell into the lake. Kyle hasn't seen him since, but he's sure Bradley's still alive. He travels as a salesman for three years until his job takes him to Hotel Dusk. There he learns more about Bradley, and other mysteries, too.

What I love about this game is how everything doesn't end nice and neat. A few mysteries are solved, but not all of them. Very much like life. For EXTRA fun, try mentally replacing every occurance of the name Bradley with "Bradley-boo." I forget where I get the idea from...there's a fansite somewhere with a nice poem.

(Oh bummer, looks like you can't listen!)
