Jessica Martins, 19 years old, is a folk-rock singer/songwriter originally from New Jersey. One-half of the acoustic duo Rising to the Bottom, she recently put out an album of 10 original songs with her bandmate Sara O'Reilly, entitled "Too Much Philosophy". Now, a student at Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA, Jessica is just about done recording her brand new solo album, "stenograph songs", and is aiming for completion Summer 2003. She also recently put together a band, Via Audio, which is where most of her energy currently goes.
