Jessie Lloyd, originally from North Queensland moved to Perth in 1997. After completing high school she attended Abmusic, an Aboriginal and Islander music college to obtain a certificate IV in music. Not only did Abmusic offer qualified music knowlege in theory and listening skills but also gave practicle, hands on experiance.

Out of this formed the
Fireflies, a band made up of five students which performed Jessie' original songs. The Fireflies were together for a year and did some outstanding work, such as local concerts and events, Perth Royal Show, festivals and support act for Archie Roach. They also appeared on RTRfm and performed an acoustic version on two of their songs. The Fireflies then completed a CD which was released at their launch on December the 12th 2002.

Jessie I currently in
Yowarliny, an Indigenous singing group run by Della Rae Morrison. Yowarliny has been sucessful in doing many community events such as workshops and performances. She has been working for Yirra Yaakin Theater Company in several of their latest productions and has also done work with local performers Yabu Band, a talented group of musicians from the south east goldfields.

Jessie Lloyd has been writing songs since her early teen years. She has had the privilage to perform them to all areas of the community, with a positive response from all.
Each of her songs is written with deep emotional value and is performed with a passion that is hard to find in today's music industry. She writes an performes her songs with dedication, the audience feels whats she feels, a real sincere experiance.
