Pwincess Kellyn: i have to tell u my maggot story Devilishxangel: NO Pwincess Kellyn: k ready...here goes... Pwincess Kellyn: so there's this special phone we have for ambulance calls and usually the phone only rings for major emergencies. It's like the bat phone when the commissioner calls. So this call comes in saying that some lady with a ripped toe nail has a possible risk of gangrene and is coming in 8 minutes. She comes in on a stretcher and waves hullo and is responsive. No problem breathing, no heart issues, nothing. So we're looking at her feet and I'm thinking gross. Her feet are gross. I go up to her and ask her if her toe hurts since they said possible gangrene but she says it only hurts if she moves it a little. I look at her toe and it looks like a ripped toe nail. But out of the corner of my eye, I thought I saw something move. So I look closer...and the flesh in where her toe nail was supposed to be glistened. It rippled and moved and I saw there were 4 rows of maggots imbedded in her toe and they were moving around. Popping their heads in and out of the toe! Devilishxangel: *dry heaving* Pwincess Kellyn: So when I realized that, I took a step back and asked the lady what happened. She says her toe nail fell off and she busts out the toe nail and it's like all thick and yellow and black and it's in her hand. So I got all itchy. We had to git a culture of the bacteria in her toe since it was an infection. We take this Q-Tip looking swab and swipe the edge of the maggots like where her toe is and she screams. She said it hurts to touch it but nothing about maggots moving in her toe. So then just as we finish the last swipe, one of the maggots latched its head onto the Q-tip and gits pulled out of her toe and it's hanging on the Q-tip. Me and this other nurse were like ahhhh!!! And the maggot falls off the Q-tip, lands on her foot, and starts crawling under her foot. Devilishxangel: SICK!!! Do you know how she got those maggots? Pwincess Kellyn: She said that a fly landed on her. U know how flies land on your trash can and lay their eggs? So maggots are the larval form of flies Devilishxangel: AAAAAAAAAAAAAACK!!! i'm cringing i'm cringing!!! this is the WORST story on earth. ACK! |
