| Episode Five |
| Axem Inferno and Axem Ice walked back to the ruins on Ice�s planet. It was a journey of 15 minutes or so. Inferno couldn�t believe how well Ice�s house was disguised, he had looked right at when he came through the Arch without seeing it. They didn�t meet any Icions or other creatures on the way back. Axem Ice showed Inferno the correct address and Earth�s address, Axem Inferno had been wrong with the last symbol. Axem Inferno thanked Ice and �dialed� Earth. He was going to stop there before going to Aquador. He wanted to check on Kolorado and Goombario. He waved goodbye and stepped into the wormhole. BONE DRY RUINS: GOOMBARIO: Well, I am worried� KOLORADO: Nonsense my boy, I�m sure the old chap is sipping tea with some King of Aquador, or whatever they have. And if not, well, at least he taught us a lot about our incredible discovery. Goombario rolled his eyes and looked down at the checkerboard they were playing on and smiled. He quadruple jumped Kolorado�s pieces. GOOMBARIO: King me. KOLORADO: What?!? Arghh! You cheated! You distracted me. Kolorado kicked the checkerboard into the lasers. It shot back and slammed into the wall, singed. The Arch opened and they stared at it. GOOMBARIO: Maybe it�s Inferno! KOLORADO: Well, who else are you expecting? GOOMBARIO: Good point� Axem Inferno stepped out of the wormhole. He walked down the Great Chamber, stopping just short of the lasers. AXEM INFERNO: Hello. GOOMBARIO: Good to see you. KOLORADO: Sure� Goombario kicked him. Kolorado growled, but otherwise didn�t respond. KOLORADO (thinking): Grrr�If Inferno hadn�t come back I wouldn�t have to share the glory of this find. No one would believe that pipsqueak Goombario had anything to do with it, especially if I say he didn�t� Nobody in their right mind would take his word over mine. GOOMBARIO: So what did you find out on Aquador? AXEM INFERNO: Well�uh...nothing. KOLORADO: Those Aquardions, or Aquadorans, or whoever they are; didn�t help you? Inferno�s cheeks caught fire again. AXEM INFERNO: I sort of�uh� had the wrong address. GOOMBARIO: Then why aren�t you dead? AXEM INFERNO: I landed on another planet, luckily. I got the correct address for Aquador from Ice. KOLORADO: �Ice�? Who�s this Ice fellow? AXEM INFERNO: An Axem that was on the planet. He was made of Ice, obviously. GOOMBARIO: Wait a second�an Axem? AXEM INFERNO: Yes. There are some other surprising things I learned of from Ice. Axem Inferno proceeded to tell Goombario and Kolorado everything that Ice had told him. He also told of the battle with the Icion, although he didn�t go into much detail about it. KOLORADO: Ha! Some Axem you are! You couldn�t even beat a creature weak to your element! Axem Inferno fired a Fireball at him, but the lasers destroyed it. Goombario did a Headbonk to Kolorado. He lost 45 HP. KOLRADO 0/50 Kolorado fell to the ground KO�d. NOTE: Kolorado had already lost 15 HP due to the lasers in Episode 3. AXEM INFERNO: Thank you Goombario, he was getting rather annoying. GOOMBARIO: Try playing chess and checkers with him. AXEM INFERNO: Ha! Well, I am going to go to Aquador, and hopefully this time I will actually make it to the right planet. See you later. GOOMBARIO: Bye! I just wish I had someone to keep me company besides this old Koopa. Axem Inferno went and activated the Arch, then stepped through. Goombario watched him go and then looked down at the KO�d archeologist. He rolled Kolorado onto his back and gave him a Life Shroom. KOLORADO 10/50 KOLORADO: Ughh�What happened to me? GOOMBARIO: You...uh�hit the lasers with you hand. KOLORADO: Oh, I thought it was that blasted Inferno. Where�d he go now? Back to Aquador, I suppose. I�m sick of playing chess and checkers, want to play cards? I just love Go Fish. Goombario sighed. ELAPSE PLACE: Axem Inferno stepped out of another Arch. Immediately he noticed that the temperature was much better than on Ice�s world, if not quite as good as Bone Dry Desert. He looked around and was surprised to see that the ruins weren�t�ruins. It looked like they had been well taken care of. They were even more magnificent than the ones in Bone Dry Desert, mostly because they weren�t aged and broken. Inferno then noticed something that made him think Ice�s world might be a better place: water. The planet seemed to be full of it. Besides for the island the ruins, if they could really be called that, were on; there was only one other island in sight. It was connected to the island where Inferno was by a bridge and a city was settled on it. The city seemed like a medium city for Earth. VOICE: And just who would you be? Axem Inferno looked at the near end of a bridge and saw two Axems standing there. They both appeared to be water types. The one who had talked appeared to be the leader. He was light blue with large raindrop-shaped eyes. There were also a few Toad guards with them. He walked close enough to talk, but not close enough that he would be in too much danger. AXEM INFERNO: I am Axem Inferno, from Earth. This is Aquador, correct? LEADER: Yes, you have arrived on Aquador. I am Axem Rain. What is your purpose here? AXEM INFERNO: I came here to get help with the Earth�s Arch and ruins. AXEM RAIN: What kind of help? Axem Inferno explained about the defenses that had trapped him in the Great Chamber. Axem Rain seemed surprised. The other guards also seemed to be upset or startled at the news. AXEM RAIN: This is strange news. We thought we would never be able to reach Earth, expect possibly by Blade. Of course, for that to happen, the Axem lords would have to stop fighting with the other lords. AXEM INFERNO: �Axem lords�? AXEM RAIN: The powerful Axems who control a planet or large force of Axems. The King of Aquador is one, since he controls this entire planet, and has a blade. AXEM INFERNO: And they fight among each other for control of the planets? AXEM RAIN: Of course. Well, most do. The evil Axems fight each over power, but the good ones, like our King, are not in it for the power. They fight to stop the evil Axems from getting too much power, and if they do �conquer� a world, they let the citizens choose their leader and government. AXEM INFERNO: If this is true, why does no one rule the planet Axem Ice lives on? And why don�t the lords use the Arches? AXEM RAIN: That�s a particularly cold and lifeless planet, correct? There is nothing to be gained from having that planet. No resources, no citizens, nothing. As for the Arches, they would but we could just shut it down when they tried to come through. Also, we have some guards here at all time to KO the enemies of Aquador. Come, we have wasted much time. You should be getting to the King. He should help you. Axem Rain and Axem Inferno started to walk over the bridge, to seek an audience with the King. The rest of the guards remained behind. End of Episode 5 |
