| Episode Thirty-Seven |
| Axem Inferno started to stir from sleep. He was in his bedroom (complete with a fireproof bed, etc.). He opened his eyes, sat up, and yawned. AXEM INFERNO (thinking): Ah, now I feel refreshed. These long, hard days of physical labor have been wearing on me� Inferno picked up his axe, which had been lying next to him. The aroma of breakfast was wafting into his room. AXEM INFERNO (thinking): I should go get some breakfast� He got out of his bed, stretched, yawned a second time, and then walked downstairs to get breakfast. MEANWHILE: Tarn started to stir from rest. He was in his bedroom (complete with Aquadorian d�cor). He opened his eyes, sat up, and yawned. TARN (thinking): � Move zig. Tarn picked up his Kipel, which had been lying next to him. The aroma of breakfast was wafting into his room. TARN (thinking): Scent detected. Classifying� Classified as food. Unnecessary. He got out of his bed, stretched, yawned a second time, and then walked downstairs to go outside. MEANWHILE: Axem Over Flame started to stir from rest. He was in his bedroom (complete with a fireproof bed, etc.). He opened his eyes, sat up, and yawned. AXEM OVER FLAME (thinking): � Move zig. Over Flame picked up his axe, which had been lying next to him. The aroma of breakfast was wafting into his room. AXEM OVER FLAME (thinking): Scent detected. Classifying� Classified as food. Unnecessary. He got out of his bed, stretched, yawned a second time, and then walked downstairs to go outside. ELAPSE PLACE: In the dining room: AXEM INFERNO: Well, Kyle, have you seen Over Flame or Tarn today? Kyle, a Toad, was eating breakfast with Inferno, along with several other Toads and some Koopas, and one JK (Crimson). Tarn and Over Flame were not there. KYLE: No sir. In fact, I don�t remember having seen them for awhile. The only time I used to see them was at mealtimes, but they don�t seem to come eat anymore� Several of the others agreed. JK CRIMSON: I don�t remember seeing either of them come to breakfast, or lunch, or dinner since you guys went with Axem Ice a few weeks ago. NOTE: That�s right, this occurred several weeks later than the trip with Ice. Thought I�d tell you right off, didn�t you? :p AXEM INFERNO: Hmm, that is true. However, the most pressing matter is the meeting that will decide what we do to make Iondross regret attacking. KYLE: Speaking of which, you should be going Sir. Do you want us to attempt to find Over Flame and Tarn? AXEM INFERNO: Don�t bother. There isn�t enough time. KYLE: We can do it Sir. AXEM INFERNO: Tell them if they aren�t there by the time I leave, they aren�t coming. I�m not going to stall either. KYLE: Okay Sir. ELAPSE TIME: Inferno was walking through the Arch as Over Flame ran in. He dashed around a Toad working in the CC and caught up to Inferno. AXEM OVER FLAME: Hey, got here just in time. I was talking with Tarn. He�s on his way. He�s such a slowpoke. AXEM INFERNO: Too bad for him. The two Axems stepped through the Arch and arrived on Bob. The room they entered was the first part of a structure resembling Pyrodor�s CC. Bob was preparing for a long war, and they were beefing up security around their Arch. Axem Strife was standing at the far end, with Axem Rain. Strife noticed them as soon as he stopped staring at a bug that had somehow gotten into the building. AXEM STRIFE: Hey guys! Er� what are you doing here though? Over Flame and Inferno walked over. AXEM INFERNO: We�re here for the meeting. AXEM STRIFE: Meeting�Oh yeah! Welcome to Bob! AXEM INFERNO: I still think that the name could be an omen. AXEM OVER FLAME: It is merely a coincidence. The odds of someone with ill intentions having a name that corresponds with a letter combination as common as Bob is 98.5%. Everyone stared at him. AXEM OVER FLAME: What? Everyone just stared some more. AXEM RAIN: Okay, that was weird. AXEM STRIFE: Hiya, Rain. When�d you get here? AXEM RAIN: Uh, I�ve be- The doors to the Arch swung outward, and the wormhole formed. All four of the Axems� heads turned towards the sound of it. An Axem stepped out rather quickly, although it was relatively slow for him. The Axem was white, of normal size, and he carried a steel colored axe. He stopped and looked around. Inferno blinked and suddenly the Axem was directly in front of them. AXEM STRIFE: Hey Fast! Er� what are you doing here though? AXEM FAST: Axem Fast is here for the meeting. AXEM STRIFE: Meeting�Oh yeah! Welcome to Bob! AXEM INFERNO: Er, so you�re Axem Fast? AXEM FAST: Axem Fast says �Yes�. AXEM OVER FLAME: Since you�re here, I assume you�re the representative of a planet opposed to Iondross? Fast blinked (which was so quick that you couldn�t actually see him blink). AXEM FAST: Axem Fast is the leader of Diputs. (JAMEY'S NOTE: Read "Diputs" backwords. Hehehe... :) ) AXEM INFERNO: What kinds of people live on your planet? AXEM FAST: Axem Fast says, �All types of elements live on Diputs.� AXEM INFERNO: Okay, now that introductions are done, let�s get to work. ELAPSE TIME: One long boring meeting later: Inferno and Over Flame were walking back to the room with the Arch. AXEM INFERNO (thinking): Okay, we�ve got four days to prepare for the assault. If we�re successful, we could get a blade to defend Pyrodor with. Also, Iondross will lose its planet with the most natural resources� End of Episode 37 |
