| Cobalt flies her jet over the sea to a small island. This is where a tournament called the Tournament of Wits is being held. This is held every two years. Though not quite as widespread known as the Tournament of Heroes it is a popular tournament. There is a castle on top of it and a battle ring. She then sees the parking lot. COBALT: Who�d have a car all the way out here? GOLDENROD: Perhaps they have a ferry. COBALT: Now. Where to park? GOLDENROD: Please, sis. Don�t crash the jet like you did at the Tournament of Heroes! WHUMP! COBALT: Too late. The two Axems climb out of the jet and brush themselves off. GOLDENROD: How many cars this time? COBALT: Five. GOLDENROD: Five poor people. They walk to the entrance and hear a voice. VOICE: Axem Fast thought that Cobalt would know how to park her jet by now. COBALT AND GOLDENROD: Fast! FAST: Axem Fast says, �Hello.� Axem Fast says, �You�re here to sign up too, right?� GOLDENROD: Wait. You�re in the tournament also? COBALT: I haven�t seen you fight since Giga Bowser! FAST: Axem Fast doesn�t fight unless he must. COBALT: Very understandable. FAST: Axem Fast says, �You two had better hurry and sign up! The list is almost full!� COBALT: Axem Cobalt says, �I almost forgot while I was talking to you!� I mean I almost forgot while I was talking to you. C�mon Goldenrod, let's go sign up. Goldenrod? GOLDENROD? GOLDENROD: And remember. It�s Goldenrod not Goldilocks. Goldenrod puts the finishing touches on his name on the sign up sheet. COBALT: Hey Goldenrod! Wait for me! Cobalt dashes towards the sign up sheet while Axem Fast zips into the arena. Goldenrod and Cobalt soon follow him. Axems Image, Equilibruim, Night Wolf, Kittie, Steel, Moonlight, Peace, HailFire, Zeus, Wizard, Banger, Scorch, Blue, Balrog, Night Dragon, Star Warrior, Nuclear, Shadow, Mimic, and Master. There was also Jr. Koopa Lead, Jr. Troopa Typhoon, Jr. Koopa Red, Jr. Koopa Shinsei, and Jr. Koopa Green. ALL: What took you so long? GOLDENROD: Err, toll booths? 10 MINUTES LATER: The stadium is overflowing with people. In the announcer booth sits a Jr. Koopa holding a Mega Hammer. It looks like the Paper Mario Super Hammer with an Ultra Hammer red band around it. Next to him is a human with shiny hair parted to the right. He has bright blue eyes and has a mysterious half smile on his face. His name is Halo. The Jr. Koopa next to him is obviously Jr. Koopa Hammer. HALO: Welcome audience and contestants alike to the Tournament of Wits! AUDIENCE: Yay. HAMMER: If you will all turn your heads from the contestants to the V.I.P. seats you will see the famous announcer of the Tournament of Heroes Jamey! JAMEY�S NOTE: Yeah, I�m everywhere! MWAHAHA! JAMEY: Errr, Hi? Suddenly a bunch of girls come up to him and start pulling his cheeks. JAMEY�S NOTE: And irresistible :) GIRLS: Well aren�t you the cutest thing! JAMEY: AHHHHHH!!!! Jamey starts to dash around the stadium, the girls following him. FAST: Axem Fast says, �Run, Jamey! Run! HAMMER: Jamey, you may return to your seat now. Jamey runs back to his seats where Axem Mahogany is now sitting. Jamey plops down in his seat. Axem Mahogany is next to him. The girls run over but Mahogany uses a telekinetic force field to hold them back. MAHOGANY: That should keep them. Halo takes back the microphone and starts talking into it. HALO: The Tournament of Wits will be like no other, for, not only must you battle but you must travel through mazes and that castle up there. Halo gestures toward the castle rising above the trees. Hammer grabs the microphone again. HAMMER: Not only that but the battles will be different too. The contestants look at each other. HAMMER: You must be witty in order to win. For you will not know who you�ll be up against until the moment you�re called out. AUDIENCE: Ooh. Maybe this WILL be interesting. Halo pulls the microphone from Hammer�s hands. HALO: I do not advise narrowing down who you will be up against. For there will also be eliminators. CONTESTANTS EXCEPT FAST: Eliminators?! FAST: Axem Fast says, �Eliminators?!� Hammer takes back the microphone. HAMMER: Yes. Eliminators. The Eliminators will try to the best of their ability to defeat you. Although they can�t be eliminated if you beat them you still go onto the next round. If they beat you however you will simply lose and no one from your battle will go to the next round. Got it? CONTESTENTS EXCEPT FAST: Got it. FAST: Axem Fast says, �Got it.� Halo takes back the microphone. HALO: Now, I want you all to get a good rest. Tomorrow the first round of battles will start. Though we won�t be sure how many of you will be defeated. The contestants go to a hotel where they will be staying. Next to it is an identical one where the eliminators stay. The third one is bigger and is where the audience sleeps. The fourth one is where the announcers and V.I.P. seated people go. They all go to sleep, ready for what may happen tomorrow.
