| The Night Before |
| On the last episode, Axems Cobalt and Moonlight fought in the final battle for the night with Moonlight barely winning. The fighters are tired, so it's time to get a good night's rest. But what sinister plans are brewing elsewhere? -------------------------------------------------- Moonlight kneels down panting next to the KO'ed Cobalt. MOONLIGHT: I creamed you, Cobalt... JAMEY: The battle is over! The winner is Axem Moonlight! AUDIENCE: Yay. Jamey throws a Life Shroom above Cobalt to restore her. COBALT: Ah, I had the most wonderful dream of a giant pretzel. MOONLIGHT: Right... They walk back to the Contestant's Building. JAMEY: Tomorrow, we will conclude the tournament. The first fight is Axem Illusion vs. JK Acid! Second is Axem Strife vs. Axem Magnum! Third is JKI vs. Axem Moonlight! AUDIENCE: Yay. JAMEY: As for now, GET THE FUDGE OUT! The audience gets up and leaves. -------------------------------------------------- Back at the Contestant's Building... Moonlight and Cobalt hit the Heart Block and restore their HP. AXEM COBALT: 710/710 AXEM MOONLIGHT: 650/650 ILLUSION: Now, where are we going to stay for the night? Jamey walks in. JAMEY: At our personal Contestant's Hotel across the street from the stadium. Jamey points to a hotel, which is more like a skyscraper. JKI: Man, there's a lot of benefits for being a contestant. TETRA: And it's too bad there are only 12 fighters. STRIFE: Oh well. Dibs on the top floor! -------------------------------------------------- In a small motel near the stadium... Axems Great Water, Great Fire, Great Ice, Rain, and Bob-omb Great Fire and Great Water stay in two jointed motel rooms. Axem Great Ice comes out of the bathroom. A GREAT ICE: I swear, I just saw a cockroach. Brother Great Fire! Axem Great Fire rushes in the bathroom and burns the cockroach. A GREAT FIRE: Happy? A GREAT ICE: Certainly. B GREAT WATER: Of all the places to stay, why did we choose this one? B GREAT FIRE: Because they have an N64 hooked up to these TV's! A GREAT ICE: Although I'm the only one here that can actually HOLD the controller. He inserts in Paper Mario and starts to play. A GREAT ICE: Darn...this Chuck Quizmo is way too good for me... A GREAT FIRE: Can you go to Lava Lava Island now? B GREAT WATER: How about we play Donkey Kong instead? A RAIN: Or maybe Kirby 64? B GREAT FIRE: Super Mario 64! VOICE: Neither of them. Axem Great Water steps in. A GREAT WATER: Work first and play later. We must now hold a meeting. EVERYONE ELSE: Aw... They turn off the N64 and sit on two beds...except the Great Fire, who would burn the beds if they touched them. B GREAT FIRE: Hey bro, you're wetting the bed. Everyone other than Axem Great Water laughs. A GREAT WATER: Anyway, let me inform you on what has been happening. The Tournament of Heroes is being held a few blocks away, with Axem Fast as the host. A GREAT FIRE: Well that's a giveaway. A GREAT WATER: Quiet, brother. A GREAT FIRE: Yes, sir. A GREAT WATER: The fights are taking a break for the night and will be back at 9 o' clock tomorrow morning. He gets up and paces around. A GREAT WATER: At noon tomorrow, we will put our plan into play. The plan is... Axem Great Water whispers the plan to everyone. A GREAT FIRE: Ah, perfect! A GREAT ICE: This is your best plan yet! B GREAT FIRE: That plan may be hotter than me! B GREAT WATER: And it's as cool as water. A RAIN: I bet I'm cooler though. B GREAT WATER: Wanna bet?! A RAIN: Alright, how about tomorrow's paycheck! A GREAT ICE: You'd both lose. I'm coolest! A GREAT WATER: Stop it, all of you! They all stop. A GREAT FIRE: It's because there's no contest. HE'S the coolest... -------------------------------------------------- At the Contestant's Hotel... Moonlight sits quietly in her room thinking. MOONLIGHT: (thinking) Think, think, think...wait, what was I thinking about? JKI walks in. JKI: Hey Moonlight? Ready for our match tomorrow? MOONLIGHT: Um...yeah. JKI leaves. MOONLIGHT: Oh yes, I was thinking on how to beat JKI. Moonlight lies down. MOONLIGHT: Hey...that's it! -------------------------------------------------- At the hotel lobby... ILLUSION: (thinking) JK Acid is my opponent tomorrow...I bet he has as much evasion as I do, so I better stick with spells and not strength. Strife comes down an elevator. STRIFE: Hey, Illusion! You should see the view of the stadium from my room! ILLUSION: Not now. I must plan out my battle for tomorrow, like you should. STRIFE: I see...but what would work against Magnum? He's indestructable! ILLUSION: No he isn't. I'll give you some advice on how to beat him. The greatest weakness in power is the power itself. STRIFE:...What? ILLUSION: Oh forget it. -------------------------------------------------- The next morning... Our twelve fighters are walking back to the stadium. TETRA: Did he have to schedule to come back at 9? I mean, I'm missing Jackie Chan as we speak! A ACID:...Right... Midnight Blue glares at JKI. MIDNIGHT BLUE: Another one for my "To Kill List." JKI: *Gulp* JK ACID: Let's hurry up! We're almost late! They all run to the stadium, leaving clouds of dust behind. However, Magnum can't move that fast. MAGNUM: Luckily, I'm in the second fight...
