| On the last episode, the tournament resumed as scheduled after taking care of some criminals. President Axem Fast is finally cured from his petrified state, a new stadium was called in, and the fights continued on the same day. The first battle in the brand new stadium had Illusion fighting Magnum, and both the fighters seemed to have nothing better to do than strike at the other�s weakness. In the end, Magnum, in his powerful angry state, got defeated by his own barrage of attacks, courtesy to one of Illusion�s reflection tactics. It�s finally time to start the final match of the tournament with the two remaining fighters: Axem Illusion and Axem Moonlight! -------------------------------------------------- Illusion smiles down at the KO�ed Magnum. ILLUSION: And there�s my ticket to the finals. JAMEY: The battle is over! The battle is over! The winner is Axem Illusion! Jamey throws a Life Shroom above Magnum. It floats above him and restores his HP. MAGNUM: Ull�my circuits need rewiring� ILLUSION: Dang. I guess I have to carry you back. Illusion manages to pick up and carry Magnum back to the Contestant�s Building. JAMEY: We will now have a short 30-minute break. We�d like our finalists in top condition for the best performance. AUDIENCE: Great! Bathrooms�! -------------------------------------------------- Back at the Contestant�s Building� Elite examines Magnum�s circuitry. ELITE: This shouldn�t be too hard to repair. You should be able to take part in the Battle Royal after all. STRIFE: Rats� SNOW: Yeah, I know what you mean. NOTE: Both of them were defeated by Magnum. MOONLIGHT: 30 minutes is an awfully long time for a break. What should we do now? ILLUSION: I�m going to take a walk I guess. I need to figure out a strategy. JKI: *Sigh* That�s our Illusion. Always strategizing MIDNIGHT BLUE: Whatever. Let�s just get lost for a while. -------------------------------------------------- Illusion walks around a nearby town, thinking about the upcoming battle. ILLUSION: (thinking) Hmm�what should I do� ???: It looks like you have a lot on your mind. ILLUSION: ? Illusion sees a heavily clothed person with a crystal ball in front. ILLUSION: Let me guess. You�re a fortune teller. FORTUNE TELLER: That is correct. ILLUSION: Then forget you. I don�t believe in that mumbo jumbo. FORTUNE TELLER: So you don�t want to know about the outcome of your fight against this Moonlight? ILLUSION: Hey, how did you do�oh right. You can, �See all.� FORTUNE TELLER: You catch on quickly. Now before we begin, you must pay some fees. It�s only a couple of coins. ILLUSION: Well there�s only two in a couple, so here. Illusion hands over two coins. FORTUNE TELLER: When I mean couple, I mean a couple hundred. ILLUSION: WHAT?! You�re joking, right? FORTUNE TELLER: All right. For you, I�ll give a discount. 50 coins. ILLUSION: That�s still 10 times more than what Merlon would charge. FORTUNE TELLER: Fine, 30 coins. ILLUSION: Make it 15. FORTUNE TELLER: 25 coins, and that�s my final offer. ILLUSION: I told you to make it 15. FORTUNE TELLER: Don�t push your luck on me. I�ve already stated my final offer. ILLUSION: Fine, whatever. Illusion hands over 23 more coins. FORTUNE TELLER: All right. Let us begin. The fortune teller�s crystal ball shines brightly. The light starts to dim down and Illusion squints to see what�s inside. ILLUSION: (thinking) Uh oh� The crystal ball displays a picture of Moonlight standing on top of a KO�ed Illusion. FORTUNE TELLER: Well isn�t that a shame. ILLUSION: I still don�t believe in this kind of stuff. I�ll just head back to the stadium. Illusion walks away. The fortune teller pulls off the hood and we see Axem Moonlight. MOONLIGHT: I wonder if that sank into him. Oh well, who cares. Moonlight walks away jingling Illusion�s money. -------------------------------------------------- Back at the Contestant�s Building� Elite continues to repair Magnum. MAGNUM: I told you before, STOP HELPING ME! ELITE: Fine. Elite snips a few wires before walking a few steps away from Magnum. MAGNUM: Why you� ELITE: Need help? MAGNUM: (thinking) Grr�I can�t believe he�s done that to me seven times already� Everyone walks back in from their exploring. JKI: Well that was a pointless break. COBALT: It wasn�t for me! I managed to invade three Krispy Kremes! Mmm�donuts. TETRA: Let�s just get on with the next bout. I�m sick of waiting! EVERYONE: Yeah! ILLUSION and MOONLIGHT: Fine. They walk towards the arena. JK ACID: Alright, and bets are now open! A ACID:�Get a life� -------------------------------------------------- Back at the arena� Jamey clears his voice for a cheap introduction speech. JAMEY: Finally, after nine tough battles, only two fighters remain on the tournament ladder. Illusion stands determined in his side of the arena. JAMEY: In this corner, we have powerful, agile mastermind of hallucinations, Axem Illusion! AUDIENCE: Yay. Moonlight glares at Illusion. JAMEY: And in this corner, we have the astounding, vicious phantom of the night, Axem Moonlight! AUDIENCE: Yay�wait, whose side are we on? JAMEY: It has all come down to this. It�s time to start the final match of this tournament, and what better time than now! Fighters, take your stances. They both stand still. JAMEY: Whatever. Ready�FIGHT! -------------------------------------------------- The (final) battle begins. AXEM ILLUSION: 650/650 AXEM MOONLIGHT: 650/650 ILLUSION: How perfectly fitting. Our HPs start out the same. Illusion powers up a Lightning attack. MOONLIGHT: Yeah, but still� Moonlight powers up her Lunar Ray. MOONLIGHT: It doesn�t mean we�ll both win. Illusion unleashes his stored electricity. It strikes down toward Moonlight. Moonlight dodges with a back flip and launches her Lunar Ray. Illusion rolls out of the way and charges toward Moonlight at high speed. He slashes a Moonlight 4 times. Moonlight blocks the first three and jumps over the last. ILLUSION: Got you! MOONLIGHT: Huh? Illusion uses the wings on his back to create a powerful windstorm towards the midair Moonlight. Since Moonlight is midair, she can�t hold her ground. She goes flying back, and will fall out of the ring. MOONLIGHT: Whoa! Moonlight fires a Lunar Ray in the direction she flying in, propelling her back on the arena. AUDIENCE: Whew! Our money could have been wasted! While she is flying back, Illusion slashes at Moonlight twice. She loses 120 HP. AXEM ILLUSION: 650/650 AXEM MOONLIGHT: 530/650 MOONLIGHT: Well that wasn�t very nice. ILLUSION: This isn�t either. Mind Numb! Illusion starts his Mind Numb attack. He focuses his brain on hurting Moonlight internally. MOONLIGHT: AHH! Moonlight feels as if her head�s going to explode. The attack passes and the pain stops. Moonlight loses 150 HP. AXEM ILLUSION: 650/650 AXEM MOONLIGHT: 330/650 ILLUSION: This is too easy! MOONLIGHT: Bright Night! ILLUSION: What?! A large flash of light radiates off Moonlight, blinding everyone around. ILLUSION: Hey! No fair! MOONLIGHT: That�s right! Moonlight uses her Creep Axe on Illusion. Illusion fails to notice the attack and loses 140 HP. AXEM ILLUSION: 510/650 AXEM MOONLIGHT: 330/650 After the attack, everyone who was blinded is now able to see. ILLUSION: Not bad�but then again, not good. MOONLIGHT: Right� Illusion jumps forward and clashes his axe against Moonlight�s. Moonlight pushes him back and powers up her Moonfire Orbs. ILLUSION: (thinking) Uh oh. Time to break it up. Illusion jumps back. Moonlight unleashes her Moon fire Orbs. Illusion easily blocks her three attacks with his axe. MOONLIGHT: Yup. It�ll take more than that to defeat you. ILLUSION: Hey! Quit stealing all my lines! MOONLIGHT: Have any other lines up your sleeve? ILLUSION: Only one. Create Illusion! He lifts his arms and everything around Moonlight turns blank. Suddenly, something next her starts to shine brightly. MOONLIGHT: Oh no, the sun! Illusion was able to alter the atmosphere around Moonlight so it�s daylight around her. ILLUSION: That�s right! With the bright sun, you won�t be able to use some of your attacks! Not only that, your offense, defense, speed and everything have been weakened! MOONLIGHT: (thinking) Not good. If I don�t get rid of this soon, he�ll have an advantage over me for the whole battle! Moonlight looks at Illusion. He glares at Moonlight sharply with unblinking eyes. MOONLIGHT: (thinking) That gives me an idea. I have a sneaking suspicion that he must keep his eyes fixed on me in order to keep his illusion running. If that�s so, it�s nothing a simple Stun attack can�t stop. ILLUSION: By the way, Moonlight. I�ve used a tactic over my Create Illusion called Fore Shadow. MOONLIGHT: Fore Shadow? ILLUSION: Yes. When I use my Fore Shadow along with my Create Illusion, the only way to make the illusion disappear is if I command it to. MOONLIGHT: (thinking) Darn. I guess I just have to fight like this. Moonlight charges at Illusion. ILLUSION: The light of day has made you sluggish, and not to mention, feeble. Illusion quickly charges in and slashes Moonlight. She loses 70 HP. AXEM ILLUSION: 510/650 AXEM MOONLIGHT: 260/650 ILLUSION: And now all I have to do is slowly take away your HP. Oh, isn�t this fun? MOONLIGHT: I have to say it isn�t, but then again, I�m not you. Moonlight scratches her head. MOONLIGHT: (thinking) Darn. There�s not much I can do. I guess I can only attack until I find something better to do. She charges toward Illusion ready for a Creep Axe attack. ILLUSION: Didn�t we already do this already? MOONLIGHT: Um�yeah� Illusion quickly charges in to slash Moonlight. This time, however, Moonlight blocks and trips Illusion with her right leg. ILLUSION: Oof! MOONLIGHT: I have to make this count! Moonlight uses her Stun attack to prolong his moment of weakness. ILLUSION: (thinking) Well that�s not very nice. Moonlight slashes Illusion twice. He loses 120 HP. AXEM ILLUSION: 390/650 AXEM MOONLIGHT: 260/650 Illusion regains motion and jumps into a corner. JAMEY: Oh! This may lead back into an amazing comeback! Moonlight, handicapped by her one and only weakness, must still respond with some skill though! MOONLIGHT: (thinking) Wait�is that an insult? Oh well, who cares. Illusion charges at Moonlight, ready to strike with his axe. At the same time, he prepares a Lightning attack. Moonlight shoots a Lunar Ray and her Moonfire Orbs to try and stop Illusion. Illusion dodges and blocks the attack with his axe and unleashes the stored electricity. Moonlight rolls away, but gets hit by flying pieces of the arena when the lightning bolt struck. She loses 30 HP. AXEM ILLUSION: 390/650 AXEM MOONLIGHT: 260/650 MOONLIGHT: (thinking) Hey, I have an idea�how about I try for a disqualification! All I have to do is make him surrender or throw him out of the ring! Just how will this work�maybe� Moonlight throws her axe like a boomerang at Illusion. Illusion dodges it as it comes toward him. MOONLIGHT: Let�s go! ILLUSION: What?! Moonlight charges in and fires 2 Lunar Rays. Illusion dodges them both. ILLUSION: (thinking) Great. An attack from both sides. Her axe will come back at any second now and she�s got me busy from the front! Illusion senses the axe coming back to hit him and rolls to his left. MOONLIGHT: Perfect! Illusion rolls right into Moonlight, who immediately pins him to the ground. Moonlight catches her axe as it comes back to her and holds it close to Illusion�s neck. MOONLIGHT: So what do you say, Illusion? Surrender? ILLUSION: One word. AAAHHH! Illusion begins using his Banshee attack. It works by screaming incredibly loud. MOONLIGHT: WHAT THE CHEESE!? Moonlight gets off and covers her ears as Illusion continues screaming. JAMEY: AH! HE SCREAMS LIKE A GIRL! AUDIENCE: MORE LIKE A CARNIVAL RIDE COMING TO A COMPLETE STOP! FAST: AXEM FAST DEMANDS EARPLUGS! Illusion eventually runs out of breath and stops screaming. Banshee makes Illusion lose 100 HP, but causes Moonlight to lose 175. AXEM ILLUSION: 290/650 AXEM MOONLIGHT: 110/650 Moonlight starts picking her ear with her finger. MOONLIGHT: Geez! What were you trying to do! ILLUSION: I obviously wanted to get you off of me, and my attack was proven effective. MOONLIGHT: Well next time, prove it effect against Magnum. MAGNUM: I heard that. Moonlight charges in as fast as she can for a Creep Axe. Illusion jumps to the side and slashes Moonlight back. Moonlight blocks and throws her Moonfire Orbs. Illusion gets hit by the first and jumps over the last two. He loses 70 HP. AXEM ILLUSION: 220/650 AXEM MOONLIGHT: 110/650 Moonlight charges in again, this time firing a Lunar Ray. Illusion hits it back with the flat side of his axe. MOONLIGHT: Oh, crud! Moonlight also hits it back with her axe and fires another Lunar Ray. Illusion hits both the Lunar Rays back as well. AUDIENCE: With no end in sight� Moonlight hits them back as well, but fires hit Moonfire Orbs this time instead. Illusion now has to block five attacks. ILLUSION: (thinking) Oh, why me� Illusion does a few back flips to avoid the attacks. AUDIENCE: Chances are, Illusion will end up in a circus. ILLUSION: Hey! Illusion starts arguing with the Audience MOONLIGHT: (thinking) I guess now�s my chance. Moonlight sneaks up from behind and hits Illusion with her Creep Axe. Illusion loses 130 HP. AXEM ILLUSION: 90/650 AXEM MOONLIGHT: 110/650 JAMEY: So after all that, Moonlight finally regains the lead! AUDIENCE: Yay, and we guess we�re on Moonlight�s side. Illusion growls in anger. ILLUSION: (thinking) This is impossible! I had the total advantage over Moonlight! She�s supposed to be weakened by my sunlight illusion, yet she managed to take a slight lead over me in the end! MOONLIGHT: (thinking) Great! I guess it�s come down to this. Both of us have hardly enough HP to take another attack. This means I gotta strike first to win. Illusion growls soon turns to light snickering. MOONLIGHT: Hey, what are you so happy about� ILLUSION: Two words, Moonlight. Your time has run out� MOONLIGHT: Um� ILLUSION: It�s time for my amazing Haunt attack! Illusion focuses his energy into his axe. After a few seconds, it starts to glow with a dark aura. MOONLIGHT: This can�t be good. The dark aura is then released in the form of a ghost. The ghost then flies into Moonlight. MOONLIGHT: What the-?! Even though the attack was successful, no HP is lost from Moonlight. MOONLIGHT: Huh? What just happened? ILLUSION: My Haunt attack works in a unique way. When that dark spirit enters your body, it will do 100 damage every time you attack. That means you only have two turns to stop me. Illusion holds up two fingers. ILLUSION: Just two turns. Can you last for just two turns? Do you have the courage to last for two turns of consciousness? MOONLIGHT: Let�s just find out. Moonlight gets ready to attack. MOONLIGHT: (thinking) In order to win, I must have my next attack hit, and if I don�t, I have to settle for a draw. Let�s see what I can do� Moonlight uses her Stun attack on Illusion. ILLUSION: Have you gotten to desperate as to use such a faulty attack? In order for your Stun to work, I must look at your eyes, so I�ll just simply look away. Illusion turns away from Moonlight to avoid the attack. Moonlight loses 100 HP. AXEM ILLUSION: 90/650 AXEM MOONLIGHT: 10/650 MOONLIGHT: (thinking) I guess I have only one thing to do. Go for the draw while his back his turned, and what better way than this. Moonlight powers up her Lunar Ray as strong as she can. ILLUSION: (thinking) I wonder, did she stop using Stun yet? I can�t look back to check� MOONLIGHT: This is it! Moonlight unleashes her Lunar Ray attack. A gigantic ray of gray light explodes from Moonlight�s mouth. There is no possible way for Illusion to dodge this attack. ILLUSION: ? Illusion turns around to see the ray coming right toward him. ILLUSION: This can�t be happening! NOOO! -------------------------------------------------- This sure is something. Once that Lunar Ray hits, this fight will turn into a draw! Find out how this will work out on the next episode!
