| On the last episode, our fighters arrived just in time to resume the tournament, with Axem Illusion and JK Acid as the Audience's first crowd pleaser. By creating the illusion of a 409 factory, Illusion was able to force JK Acid to surrender. Up next is Axem Strife and Axem Magnum! -------------------------------------------------- JK Acid is standing perfectly still in shock. JK ACID:...Don't ever send there, ever again. ILLUSION: Alright. I guess you'll take that as a consolation prize. JAMEY: (Into his microphone) Which means Axem Illusion advances to the semi-finals! AUDIENCE: Yay. ILLUSION: Ah, my adoring fans... They walk back to the Contestant's Building. Jamey's watch reads 10:01 AM. What no one knows yet is the Elemental Manipulator Gang will jump the tournament at noon. -------------------------------------------------- Back at the Contestant's Building... Strife is busy thinking about the hint Illusion gave him on how to beat Magnum. STRIFE: (thinking) The greatest weakness in power is the power itself...hmm...why should I involve the electric company? SNOW: (sarcastically) Aw...Isn't he cute when he's thinking? STRIFE: Quiet, Snow. I need to think up a strategy. TETRA: Stater...what? MIDNIGHT BLUE: Strategy, you nimrod! NOTE: I can hear the Yu-Gi-Oh! phrase finders going crazy right about now. MOONLIGHT: Seriously, Midnight Blue, you should really invest in being less mean. A ACID: Well if he were, he wouldn't be called Midnight Blue. COBALT: Or he wouldn't exist. He may just vanish into thin air because he's pure evil, and if he stops being evil, he'll stop existing. ELITE:...I don't get it. MAGNUM: Don't worry. Nothing a FEMALE says has any importance anyway. COBALT and MOONLIGHT: (thinking) I think I won't react to this. Illusion and JK Acid walk in. ILLSUION: So Strife, have you figured out what I said yesterday night? STRIFE: Not at all. I've only come up that you should stop talking in riddles. MAGNUM: Oh, poor Strifey will need all the help he can get. ELITE: Whatever. Just fight. They walk through the metal doorway to the arena. -------------------------------------------------- At the arena... JAMEY: Our next battle is about to begin: Axem Strife vs. Axem Magnum! AUDIENCE: Yup! Jamey sees Strife and Magnum walking towards the arena. JAMEY: To give a brief summary on these fighters, Strife is one of the fastest axems, using his dodging and super speed to win. Magnum on the other hand is one of the slowest axems and uses his power to win. STRIFE: (thinking) There's that word again! Power! But what does the riddle mean?! Strife and Magnum make it to opposite sides of the ring. JAMEY: Let's begin! Ready...FIGHT! -------------------------------------------------- The battle begins. AXEM STRIFE: 500/500 AXEM MAGNUM: 700/700 Magnum begins by charging slowly while firing Bullets. Strife Shoots behind him and uses an Axe Transformation, changing his axe into a sword. STRIFE: (thinking) His armor's thick, so I'll need the most damage-dealing weapons I can muster. He runs up quickly and slashes Magnum with his sword. Magnum loses 25 HP. AXEM STRIFE: 500/500 AXEM MAGNUM: 675/700 MAGNUM: Psh! You're only slightly stronger than Snow when you wave that sword around! STRIFE: It seems the only way to beat you is a ring out then. MAGNUM: Not exactly. Even if you throw me out, I have the ability to hover in thin air! One of the reasons I'm invincible! Magnum shoots numerous Fire Bullets at Strife. Strife dodges all but the last one and loses 150 HP. AXEM STRIFE: 350/500 AXEM MAGNUM: 675/700 STRIFE: (thinking) Man! It's hardly been a minute and he's revealed his full...power to me already... Strife jumps into the air for his Jump Sword attack. MAGNUM: Ah, the infamous Jump Axe/Sword. I'll just put a stop to this. Magnum's tank-like body pokes out two downwards jets. He turns them on, allowing him to slowly rise in the sky. AUDIENCE: Birdies! Strife sees this happening. STRIFE: My second most powerful attack...he's put a flaw in it! No! Magnum fires a Bullet at Strife. Strife Shoots out of the way and uses Quick Heal, regaining 50 HP. AXEM STRIFE: 400/500 AXEM MAGNUM: 675/700 Strife reaches the peak of his jump and lands back on the ring with both feet without taking damage. Magnum falls back on the arena with a heavy thud, but doesn't take damage either. STRIFE: (thinking) I'm in for a long battle... Magnum shoots a Bullet at Strife. Strife uses an Axe Transformation and hits it back with the flat side of his axe. He dashes toward Magnum and slashes him. A second later, the Bullet hits as well. Magnum loses 60 HP. AXEM STRIFE: 400/500 AXEM MAGNUM: 615/700 STRIFE: I'm faster than a speeding Bullet! -------------------------------------------------- From the Contestant's Building... ILLUSION: (thinking) That's it! He showed the greatest weakness in Magnum's strength is it can be used against him! By reflecting his attacks, it'll deal a lot of damage! -------------------------------------------------- Back at the arena... MAGNUM: Grr...You're little reflection may have worked, but remember, you've taken more damage than me. STRIFE: Psh. Data and statistics don't always matter. Magnum starts to hover and shoots a barrage of Bullets. Strife dodges them and jumps up to slice Magnum with his axe. Magnum uses his most powerful attack, Mortar Shell. He blasts a Mortar Shell out of his mouth at Strife. Strife can't block this. It explodes on contact. STRIFE: AHH! He loses 200 HP. AXEM STRIFE: 200/500 AXEM MAGNUM: 615/700 STRIFE: Man, that smarts... Strife uses Quick Heal while talking and regains 50 HP. AXEM STRIFE: 250/500 AXEM MAGNUM: 615/700 MAGNUM: Grr... Magnum shoots a Bullet at Strife. Strife easily dodges this. STRIFE: Hmm...Yeah! That's what the riddle means! That's Magnum's weakness! Strife quickly runs around Magnum in a circle. Magnum tries to shoot him down with a few Bullets, but fails. STRIFE: Here it goes! Strife shoots his Quick Shot attack. MAGNUM: (thinking) What is this? Such a weak attack can't even do 10 damage to me! It hits Magnum and he loses 60 HP. AXEM STRIFE: 250/500 AXEM MAGNUM: 555/700 MAGNUM and ILLUSION: WHAT?! ILLUSION: (thinking) Sure, that did some damage, but that's not the skill I was talking about. Let's hear an explanation. STRIFE: You see, the greatest weakness in power is the power itself! What it means is the greatest weakness of you having so much power is power, as in electricity, does more damage than usual! Illusion slaps himself. ILLUSION: (thinking) Not what I meant... STRIFE: And since my Quick Shot is a Electric-type attack, you'll take a lot of damage! MAGNUM: (thinking) No! Now everyone knows my greatest weakness, electricity! Strife shoots another Quick Shot and Magnum loses 60 HP. AXEM STRIFE: 250/500 AXEM MAGNUM: 495/700 STRIFE: Cool beans! Now I have an edge in this battle! AUDIENCE: Cool beans?! STRIFE: It's time I showed you my super speed! MAGNUM: (thinking) Oh man, he'll reduce me to nothing pretty soon... Strife Shoots to Magnum's right side and hits Magnum with an Axe Swipe (which is different from the basic slash) and it does 50 damage. He then Shoots behind him for a Quick Shot, dealing 60 damage. Strife lastly Shoots to Magnum's left and odes an Axe Tornado, dealing only 50 damage. All that was done in half a second. Magnum lost 160 HP. AXEM STRIFE: 250/500 AXEM MAGNUM: 335/700 MAGNUM: Grr...nothing can make this worse! Strife uses Quick Heal and he regains 50 HP. AXEM STRIFE: 300/500 AXEM MAGNUM: 335/700 MAGNUM: GRR! STRIFE: Man! This battle is...stimulating! AUDIENCE: Stimulating?! Magnum angrily shoots Fire Bullets. Strife dodges them all. Magnum angrily shoots Mortar Shells. Strife dodges these too. Magnum gets REALLY angry and shoots Ice Bullets as fast as he can. Strife is hit by one and he loses 150 HP. AXEM STRIFE: 150/500 AXEM MAGNUM: 335/700 STRIFE:...What's happening to me?! I feel...really cold! Strife starts shivering. Pretty soon, his body turns more blue and usual. STRIFE: That Ice Bullet, it-AHH! A layer of ice forms around Strife and he is frozen solid. Magnum holds still in shock and joy. MAGNUM: YES! YES! Let's see you dodge attacks now! Magnum shoots a Mortar Shell for the win. JAMEY: Oh! Strife is at the end of his rope, and if he doesn't do anything now, he'll most definetly lose this battle! If he has some sort of surprise tactic, he better do it fast! -------------------------------------------------- Will Strife be able to avoid Magnum's Mortar Shell? Find out on the next episode!
