The Tyrano Lair

Yet another dungeon to go through.  Enter and go through the open mouth of the dinosaur skeleton and free the Laruba Villagers.  Then go down another floor and free Kino (Ayla goes in a beserked state, and doesn't bother pushing a button).  Follow Kino to the other skeleton and he will open it up.  The next part involves a long path with many places I forgot by memory.  Here is a hint though:  Circles on the ground are switches.  Step on certain ones to go forward.  And also in the room with lots of invisible trap doors, just keep going.  When you make it to the room with a talking dinosaur, use the save point behind it, and walk out.  The dino will attack you.  It is fairly easy:  Use Crono's lightning to weaken the defenses, have Ayla attack, have Frog Heal when necessary.  When defeated, go save again and walk a while longer to get to Azala.  To fight Azala and her HUGE dinosaur, you should be sure to have the Ruby Vests, because the dinosaur can use a powerful fire breath.  Defeat Azala first (Use Magic) and then kill the dinosaur.  Watch out for it's countdown attack (he has a great way of promoting it) and Heal right after you get it.  After a fairly long battle, you should win.  A cinema sequence should occur, in which Lavos falls down to earth, Azala is crushed, and you are rescued by Kino.  You will then go back to the world map.

The Island of Zeal

Enter the Lair Ruins and go through the gate to find that Lavos has already dug quickly to the center of the earth.  Go through the gate and find yourself in a cave.  Go outside and find that there is a blizzard.  Travel to the east and go through the cave.  If you stay out in the blizzard too long, you will die.  Step on the Portal to find the Island of Zeal.  Enter the place of Enhasa and you will find Masa and Mune's big sister here.  You can talk to her to find out that this is a magical kingdom.  The main point of this place is to open three books in this order:  Water, Wind, and Fire.  The Water book is in the upper-righthand corner, the Wind in the upper-left, and the Fire is the book in front of the entrance.  While going to the Wind book, you will find a boy and his cat, telling you that one of your party members will perish.  Anyway, when all the books are opened, a secret passage will open up and you will find a Nu.  You can fight them, but they are extremely hard and will drain your HP to 1 and then hit you again.  Win them and you will earn a Magic and Speed Tab.  Leave this place and enter the Landbridge.  Step on the portal and exit the cave.  Travel to the Northwest and enter another Skyway.  Step on the Portal and find the Main Island of Zeal.  Enter the palace of Kajar and open the books like you did in Enhasa.  Another secret passage will open up.  Inspect the Poyozo Doll and you will find a Black Rock inside.  Leave Kajar and go through a series of Caves with portals to enter the Zeal Palace.  You should Save before entering.

The Zeal Palace

Your first thing to do inside here is to help a desparate Nu scratch his back.  Next, enter the bedroom in the upper-righthand corner and go inside the room to the right.  Listen to Schala and Janus talk, and Schala will give Janus an Amulet (this is a very important part of the game).  Follow Schala and she will use a pendant that resembles yours to open a door.  When you try and open the door with your pendant, it won't work.  Next, enter the room with the Mammon Machine and power up your pendant.  Go back to the room with the Door and open it.  Now you can open all those doors and chests you found in the game that you couldn't open.

The Queen's Chamber

Upon entering, you will be stopped by the Queen Zeal.  The Prophet will say you are evil and make Dalton send out a Golem out on you.  This Golem is pretty evil:  it can knock out half of your HP and 1 hit!  The trick is to hit him only with magic and to try not to use physical attacks.  Like any other boss, always Heal when necessary.  When you beat it, it will use a move that isn't that powerful, but be sure to be prepared for it.  After beating the Golem, you will be encaged in some strange thing, and taken away.  Schala will then rescue you, but then the Prophet will take you away, back to the gate you entered the time period with.  You will go back to the Prehistoric, and the Gate will be sealed behind you, therefore having the Dark Ages closed off.

Break the Seal!

Now that your pendant is charged up, you can open all those doors in 2300 AD that were closed bye a mysterious power.  Go through the Gate at the Mystic Mountains to get back to the End of Time.  There, go through the light pillar for 2300 AD (Proto Dome).  Leave the Proto Dome and go to Lab 32.  Race Johnny once again and leave the lab.  Enter the Sewer Access and go through here.  The monsters are very easy, since you were supposed to be here earlier in the game, but it was optional :-).  Don't make any noise here or you'll be stuck doing a stupid battle (don't even use the save point).  Anyway, this place is easy.  Go through here and make it inside the Keeper's Dome.  Go to the back and break the seal.  Walk around, talking to the little blue dots and listening.  At the end of the line, you will find the huge machine, the Epoch.
