| On November 25, 2003, I took a home pregnancy test and was shocked to see two lines. Over the next few days, the lines got darker and darker. Yup, it's true, we are expecting a baby. December 9, 2003, the hospital confirmed that I was indeed pregnant. December 15, 2003, I had my first ultasound. Everything was just as it should. Heartbeat = 126 bpm!! |

| Please keep us in your thoughts: On December 12, I had to go to ER with a fever and extreme muscle pain. I was sent home with no explanation and Tylenol. At my OB appt on the 15th, they took extra blood in an attempt to find out what was causing the pain. I was feelling like I ran a marathon and I know I didn't! The doctor discovered high enzyme levels and suspects that I have an infection in my muscles. More blood work will be done on the 22nd and hopefully more answers. Starting the 16th the muscle pain began to subside. The doctor assured me that as of right now, I'm fine, with the exeption of the pain, and the baby is in no immediate danger. Although I will be monitored very closely, most likely through out my pregnancy. We're crossing our fingers that very goes smooth from here on out!! December 22, 2003 - I had another OB appt. They rechecked my blood levels and everything was back to normal. Muscle enyzme levels were in the normal range and blood count was back to normal. Dr believes that we may never know what was causing my pain. We are still waiting on a few more tests. Dr did another ultrasound and everything was perfect. Baby had a heartbeat of 157!! I expected to be 7 weeks and 3 days but the baby was measuring 7 weeks and 5 days so they moved up my EDD to August 4, 2004. |
