Introducing Myself and my Serama
My name is Jerry Schexnayder. Im located in southern Louisiana, 40 miles west of New Orleans on the west bank of the Mississippi River in St. James Parish in the little town of Vacherie. I own the largest, pure blood, USDA Certified, NPIP # 713 Approved, flock of Serama in the World. My birds were imported directly from Malaysia at the turn of the century. Im for peace and harmony, unfortunately others cant live that way and their behavior has given the Serama a bad name in poultry circles. I, have no ego to prove. Im quiet happy doing my own thing at my own pace. I dont claim to have the best nor do I preach or force myself on anyone, nor do I claim to be an expert or specialist. If anyone asks for advice, I give it truthfully and to the best of my knowledge. Its up to the recipient of this advice to decide for himself/herself if its truth or crock. My original flock consisted of 105 hens and 35 cocks gathered and selected from throughout Malaysia and are from the finest line of Champions in the world, direct descendents of Sri Pinang, Riting Mass and Angkat. These birds were line bred by the foremost Serama breeder in Malaysia, Pennang Chooi. Mr. Chooi has breed more champions than any other Serama breeder in the world. |
