Research

Current Projects:

  1. MPSoC Programming.
  2. Implementation of math libraries on HW.

Recent projects:

  1. Reinforcement learning for obstacle avoidance of a mobile robot. (With Jorge Peņa). This is the extension of our graduation project. The key idea is to develop and to test well-known reinforcement learning algorithms such as Q-learning and Sarsa with function approximation structures based on clustering techniques and/or neurofuzzy systems and to use them to the obstacle avoidance of a mobile robot.
  2. Reinforcement learning in cooperative multiagent systems. (With Jorge Peņa). May a community of robots learn quickly via communication of experience? Basically, the project consists on the combination of reinforcement learning and supervised learning to achieve the learning of a specific behaviour by a group of robots.
  3. Telemedicine. (With el EIT). Project in which I´ve been working since 2003. It is about the design and implementation of hardware and software interfaces that allow us to obtain signals from medical devices that are common in rural hospitals. Then these signals are transmitted to a far place through an IP network. The application was developed in C++ and handles databases permitting autentication of users and registration of all transactions made in the telemedicine network.
