CLASS REGULATIONS

Regulamento  PORTUGUÊS

&** Never mind the U$e of many  S -dobrado (also a move in Capuera) 'cause I am not a hypocrite and ginga my attitude to evolve. With Mandinga I like to exalt Saude, (mean health) S with a ! mark in the middle, read $.

So we double the meaning of what we LoveS... !  (?!)

Ieee....   I gonna sing my JC'S "Ladainha" to U learn about my way of life - that mean Capuera:

This litany Ladainha is particularly dedicated to People that say they "love" Capoeira, BR culture, etc, but claim that they don't have money to support it. Conflicting? Indeed!

So, many perople are paying to support  cigarette companies, coca-cola, and other 'legalised drug sponsors and family oppressors" to exist; and claim that they can't afford to pay the work of a Mestre.

My Apologies goes to the honest people that have to listen to this CALL intended to those that may bring disespect to the work of educators, mestres, etc working with Capoeira.

MESTRE JC   @  PROFES$IONAL   NOTE

Playing a ‘jogo - Capoeira Angola - may also mean as same as IF 'you' are going to ginga your life… @ museum, art gallery, music concert, movie, formula one, soccer, sports, etc.

There you may also claim that you "just want to watch" (… ?).  Can u do this  "chamada" ??  Yess...

But, of course,... ‘it pays to belong’ to play you life at such Rodas, isn’t it?

Why then U would like to discriminate aggainst Capoeira?!   (*and the culture of the people from BR!?)

Therefore, respect the work of capoeirista, and follow on JC'S Regulations!

JC’S Fee includes the room rent, JC’S props, etc.    NOTE: if 'you' do not respect JC’S teacher and claim “I forgot” to pay for your class a $ FINE will apply to every class that you come out of tune = disrespecting the work of your mestre, teacher.     **Attention: there are people that like to “graduate Capoeira" as they did before to Mestres Bimba & Pastinha, others in BR, elsewhere.

<>    Both masters Bimba and Pastinha died in Brasil in miserable social conditions inspite of te work done to progress Capuera.

<>     Therefore, if you presuppose that you’re a “poor” (poor in AU doe$$$$ not exist?!) and can't afford to pay Mestre JC work... JC'S offers option to your attitude 'problem' :

<>    If anyone wants to be acquainted with Capoeira Angola in AUS and proclaims: “I can't afford to pay Mestre JC classes” - don't worry, B happy:

I I I – JCS DRESS

                    Dressing Capoeira ~ JC’S t-shirt + pant

JCS dress adds to identify JC’S Capoeira Angola School and to organise Capoeira to help evolve Australians. Mestre Jerônimo requires “black” pants to his students in a general way. This ‘way of life’ (dress) is communal with the Capoeira Angola community. The ‘ritual of dressing' JC’S helps to assist Mestre JC to organise JC'S.

People that did not learn about JC’S Regulations may wear their own dress for the first lesson only. Then please follow on JC’S Regulation’s.

Mestre JC would like to have JC’S wearing JC’S uniform(pants) at least once a week. Please value the work of the Mestre and share commitment to Capoeira Angola.

Capoeiristas visiting JC’S the first time may wear their own “abada” uniform. After that all students must follow on Mestre JC Capoeira School Regulation. *Exception may apply to graduated students, mestres.

JC’S wearing JC’S also mean respect to other Capoeira Schools.

Mandingueiro/a (capoeirista) from JC’S must artfully (wisely) find out about other Capoeira schools regulations and their way to ginga (style) before playing their Rodas or classes.

I V –  JCS EVALUATION

Though there are exceptions to any rule set to “graduate” a capoeirista the title of a ‘Mestre de Capoeira’ ideally fits people that constitute a family and have 40 years of age with many years of experience playing with Capoeira.

Mestre is also a label to any professional that works with Capoeira and its many variations forms of ginga, etc.

Mestre JC tailors his JC’S Evaluation System on Capoeira lifestyle. To Mestre JC Capoeira Angola is a Ritual.

After concluding ten ‘Well-Behaved’ years and working beside JC to help promote Capoeira JC’S Senior Student can be honoured Contra-Mestre rank. Thus, within JC’S a Mandingueiro(outside BR) must also learn to speak and write at least Portuguese and the language you use to the live you ginga your passport. So, JC'S student can achieve Capoeira professional status if fits tio this ginga with the Mestre. * Based on Master JC Capoeira life style, JC'S students should speak or study many diferent game/languages.

Children may have a different evaluation at JC’S.

Master JC will award JC’S Mandingueiros with a 'Capoeira Certificate'.

JC’S Certificate is granted to acknowledge one’s commitment to Capoeira.

There may be no Certificate to casual students that will not conclude at least one year of schooling.

JCS Capoeira Angola Evaluation:

A) From 0 to 2 year  = Novice

B) From 2 to 4 years  = Student

C) From 4 to 6 years  = Senior Student  (*)

D) From 6 to 10 years = Mestre (*mean a professional capoeirista)

<>    Subjects, 1 to 5 mark given by the Mestre to JC'S:

Ginga    Música     Jogo     Mandinga     Discipline     Commitment

1 uncreative level of achievement marginal level of achievement

3 fitting level of achievement        4high level of achievement       5 outstanding level of  achievement

V –  JCS JOGO DE CAPOEIRA

The ‘$lave Ritual’ (Capuera) evolved in BR to fight against discrimination imposed by corrupted religious and government $ystem.

Master JC work's with his Capoeira based on the Traditional Capoeira way, a Ritual also known as Capoeira Angola. Yet, other “sporty Capoeira style” (Capoeira Regional, capo-jitsu, capo-show, etc) progressed in BR since the 1930’s.

At JCS we aim to educate with wisdom and ginga (play Capoeira) following it’s ritualistic  origins. Mestre JC exalts 'Zumbi and Palmares' iconoclast ideals.

JCS Mandingueiro “warm up” Capoeira in a Roda (circle/ring) playing percussion and singing traditional Capoeira rhythms and songs.

JCS must learn about the songs used to perform the Capoeira Angola Ritual and follow the Berimbau rhythms (Toque) swaying  the Ginga to play a game of Capoeira on the techniques (Jogo) bellow:

For further elucidation on 'JOGO' see (*) Attachment.

Thankyou for the support you ginga to progres$ JC’S and Capuera.

    Axé (Love/prosperity) to you!
