I'm off to a good start
My original goal with this farce of a website was to have it updated very often, a lot more often than my current (and soon to be replaced) website. This means I should have something to say on at least a daily basis. Too bad I haven't said anything for three days. :p

My computer is having serious issues right now, ever since I relinquished Netscape's control as my default browser. I believe my CDROM drive is completely shot to hell, and my computer (a P3 450) is as sluggish as my laptop (a P 133). I could blame this on a joint conspiracy between the Chinese Communist Party and the guys that took all of the "W" keys from those computer keyboards when Clinton stepped down as president, but I think this may have something more to do with the fact that I haven't formatted or defragmented my hard drive sine I got it two summers ago. That doesn't really explain why the CDROM drive won't work, though... You should here the evil satanic noises it makes when it tries to read a CD, even your typical everyday audio CD. It sounds like it's trying to tear the CD apart. Not good.

Right now, my desktop computer is on my floor without its case, clean as a whistle thanks to a rigorous formatting and a canister of compressed air. Unfortunately, I can't seem to load an operating system onto it since my CDROM drive won't work. I have a SCSI CDR as well, but me and my roomie Mike tried to get the proper drivers for that thing to install for about two hours. *sigh*

Tomorrow (today is Saturday, but to me, Saturday doesn't start until I wake up Saturday morning or afternoon), we're probably gonna rip my CDROM drive from my computer and replace it with the one we are using for the thesevoices.com server and see what happens from there. If everything goes according to plan, I can set up my computer from sucking ass mode to "Hey! It works!" mode and maybe I can actually do something with this site. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

It's almost 3 in the morning over here. I think I should consider going to sleep.

Testing 123...
Hello there. You've stumbled across my test project somehow. Congratulations.

If things go according to plan, this site will (slowly but surely) take over my current personal homepage. I've had this fascination with weblogs for a while, and since the only things I seem to update any more are my latest updates (which comprises mostly of my ramblings) and The G Spot (the best Garbage site ever. :p), I thought I'd shift the attention of my old site to that which focuses on my "news" instead of my content. With a little bit of hard work and tender loving care, I think it may happen.
I'm using this nifty program called Blogger to put this news together, since RPI doesn't hand out CGI access to the everyday student. Plus is spares me the effort of coding in Perl and SQL to get this thing wokring properly. Maybe if I'm bored enough and have access to my very own web server, I'll code it this way.

Anyways...

There's plenty of work I still gotta do here, so if you don't mind me, it's time to tweak some stuff.
