				Getting to Know You

I�m trying something new that will allow all of us to get to know each other a little better. When I say us, I mean just that. I want my students and their families to know me better and I want to know all of you better. I plan on sending home a question about once a month that I will ask the parents to answer. I will also ask the students to answer the same question if they want to, but I would like their answer to be kept separate. I will then post them to my webpage so that every student and every family can check out what we all wrote. This will be done completely on a volunteer basis, but I believe this might turn out to be a fun, informative year-long project. I should have started this sooner, because the first question for all of us could have been, �What did your family do over summer break?� But since my delay has caused most of us to think of summer as some long ago adventure that has passed, I will leave it in the past. Therefore, I must think of something that is happening now or in the near future. And for me, there is only one upcoming event that is on my mind constantly and that is the birth of my first child.
