"Skyth, you look marvelous!" Y'nir told his dragon. "I should, I have just been oiled," Skyth rose to his full height while Y'nir and his younger brother, Nesten watched.

"I don't know about you," Nesten told Y'nir, "but I'm ready for a bath!" "Need a lift?" Y'nir offered conveyance. Shaking his head, Nesten refused, "No, I'd rather walk."

Satisfied, Y'nir watched his brother leave before he gathered up the rags and pot of oil scattered around the ledge of the weyr. "Y'nir, we have been asked to bring Nesten. The eggs are hatching." Skyth looked in the direction Nesten had gone.

Surprised, but relieved, Y'nir climbed aboard and Skyth took off. They spotted Nesten not far off and relayed the good news. All hopes of a bath forgotten, he climbed up behind Y'nir.

The excitement at the hatching ground brought back a flood of memories as Y'nir watched his brother wait on the sands. As long as the boy Impresses - no matter what color - it will be fine.

With pride, Y'nir witnessed Nesten Impress a large blue with extra large feet.
