Weyrleader M'lek "Hey, come right in," you hear as you walk from the bright sunlight into the dark cavern. As your eyes adjust to the change, you make out the shape of a great bronze dragon, peacefully sleeping. "I've never seen a bronze that big!" you mumble to yourself. As soon as you have adjusted to the light of glows, you can see a man waiting for you at the other side of the weyr. He has dark curly hair and dark-blue eyes. He is about 26 Turns old - young for the weyrleader! "I guess Lorin sent you. She is always directing visitors around the Weyr. If you're interested in impressing a dragon, you will need to go to Aden Weyr and see Weyrwoman Bretta. Weyrwoman Carah just put her in charge of new clutches. "I'll have to remember that," you say. "So, why did Carah turn it over to Bretta?" "That's an easy one," M'lek smiles broadly, "she is expecting our first child in a few months and won't even think of fostering it. It's important to her to raise her own children." "So how long have you been Weyrleader?" you ask, not knowing what else to say to his previous comment. "Not long. A couple of Turns." he says with agrin. "Ever since Ferth flew Raenith." "So what did you do before you became a dragonrider?" you ask. "Minecraft Apprentice," he says as he proudly stands taller. "Specializing in finding, cutting, and polishing gems." "Do you miss it?" you wonder aloud. "We get back once in a while for a visit." As Ferth begins to rouse, you decide you better move on.
