SMALL ENTERPRISE DEVELOPMENT COURSE (SEDC)
The SEDC is a course
meant for enterprise development promoters and potential trainers of non-government
organizations (NGOs), government service agencies and academe/university-based
community-extension offices. It is an introductory course on MCSME (Micro, Cottage, Small
and Medium Enterprise) promotion and development.
The course, conducted for a period of not less than seven (7) days or 56 hours, uses the CEFE approach of introducing enterprise development concepts and techniques through structured learning experiences (SLEs) or real-life simulated business situations. Principles and practices on action learning and Andragogy or adult learning will also be introduced in the course. In addition, basic concepts and techniques on enterprise diagnostic tools will be introduced in a sequential manner and within the context of the four (4) functional areas of business management - marketing, production/technical, organization and management and finance.
