My friends are everywhere,
I hold them very dear;
They can be found just any day
At church, next door, or far away.
I think they are but few
Until I stop to check the view;
Then when I start naming them,
It seems the list will never end.
There are friends who laugh with me,
Friends who merely chat with me;
I have friends who are always there
When sorrows or burdens I must bear.
There isn't one I would not miss
If God would call them to that land of bliss.
How boring and sad my life would be
If friends were not a part of me.
