| JUNE 28, 2004 ELECTION DAY! I did my part..I voted. Now it's the waiting game of IF my votee wins..He wil...I'll guarntee it was NOT Ethel I voted for..forGET IT! So I went to CJCD today, begining the end Of July I think it's the 25th, I'll be having so ads on the radio for mini me. It's going to be part of the business directory..so that's exciting...only 2 more days till I take possession of the store, then that's that.. I start my renos! How exciting. I have some good ideas for display items, etc! I have been getting some bills in for my stuff now, I am just waiting to get my GST number and all that jazz...should be exciting! Then My other thing I'm waiting for is the debit machine...g's there's lots of bs that you have to complete to open up! Oh well, it'll be well worth while I think! While I was at CJCD, I ran into Cindy of course, She lives there! and we walked over to reddi mart and got a SLUSH!! THE TRAUMA IS OVER..SLUSHES ARE BACK! WOO HOO. She took a couple of pics of us with her new digital cam so that was cool. She is going to post them on her site in a few days. My store is going to start getting painted right away here...I'm getting so excited! I'm going to post a pic on here when it's all painted up! WOOOHOOO! I feel like I'm forgetting to tell you something. I had something I thought of today that I was going to write about, but then all of a sudden I can't remember, like that's a surprise! I have to get some stuff on the go for free advertising. We took the kids down by the lake the other day so that we could feed the seagulls some on the verge of getting moldy bread...then we headed out to the Yellowknife River, and the kids threw some rocks in the water, played with some dogs, and we were going to have a picnic, but there were so many bloody mosquitos (literally!) that we had to pack up and came home, so then they had a picnic outside here, and jumped on the trampoline, and played out on our billon toys. They are actually really enjoying playing on the Chevy now, they all drive it, well, except Dray, but he plants his foot on the gas, and doesn't steer, and goes straight for whatever is in the way! Goof. I remember what I was going to write. It was that I had a garage sale the other day. I made about $130.00! Kids clothes mostly. Not too bad...I was going to have 2 sales, then take all the left overs to the flea market, but I was so pissed of come the end of that garage sale, that I took everything down after I was done. I did however get a great deal because Tracy was out lookin around and found me two racks for the store! So that rocked! I was at the gym today, and on the elliptical, and had my MP3 player on, and my headphone wire caught on the handle, so I slowed down to untangle me, and the thing reset...I was so pissed, I jumped off, and went to do my weights...grr that SUCKED!!! Anyway, I better get going to bed, it's 11:47, and morning comes early! TA TA...PS..I burnt my neck with my curling iron the other day OUCH June 8, 2004 You know, I'm sitting here thinking about people who change plans, and don't allow people to know about it. I mean for me it's because I hate sitting around waiting like a dummy, WITH the KIDS all ready to go. But whatever, life happens, and you move on and make it to the next day, next hour for that matter. I'm sitting here watchin my husband, you know, Paul Teutel from American Choppers, the JR one, man they make awesome stuff on there. I wish I would have become more of a sled head, more into bikes, and that kind of stuff. It really intrigues me, and I'd like to get more into it. Who knows maybe my kid will get into it, at least one of the boys will. Who knows. It's kinda freaky though at the same time cuz it's potentially life threatening...mind you walking down the street, could be life threatening. Anyway, I better get this done and outta the way, I"m suppose to be making "O" cookies for school tomorrow..OH NO!!! June 6, 2004 So not only is there a Slushie crisis in Yellowknife, but I kept going into my laundry room for like 2 weeks, trying to figure out what I must have dropped behind my washer that was molding on the floor, or stuck in between the wall and washer, or what have you. And then I realized, "hmm, the fridge keeps trippin out, maybe the freezer has done the same. So I lift the lid...and the immediate smell of dead body fills my nasal passage, and I just about PUKE! Man, that's got to be the most DISGUSTING thing EVER!! UGHH. Other than that, the trampoline is up, the kids chevy is running. Jae and I went out last night for a bit. We had a good time. Anyway I better go get the "dead person" outta my freezer.. BLAHHHHH but I'll talk to you soon :) June 1, 2004 Can you believe it's JUNE!!! One month till I take possession of my spot! WOO HOO!!! I Can't believe how quickly this is all falling into place! Let's see...we put the trampoline up, and we have been on it everyday. It's pretty cool TracEy had one when we were in school, and i had taught myself how to do a flip and land on my feet. So I was being cool with Kaiden on there, showing her what I knew how to do...and well I did one, then I did the second one and pulled something in my neck..LOL. serves me right, I'm not 17 anymore! Oh well, it's just about cleared up today. Couldnt have been that bad! Store stuff is going awesome I'm finding all kinds of new stuff that I need to be doing, it's amazing all the paper work involved! UGHGHG Oh well. I really have a lot to write about but my mind has gone blank...weird... wonder if it was all a lie. I was talkin to a guy that has a kid in playschool with our little guy, it's amazing that he's got 3 kids, and he kinda expects to go out like 2-3 times a week...not a mont a WEEK!!! WHAT THE #$#@ over!!! HELLO you have THREE KIDS!!!! I was floored. I saw him and his wife out one night, and then he said that, I just kinda laughed to myself and thought, ya, right. So today I made bread..man that bread is so awesome! I could sit down and eat it till I was ready to puke...however I won't! Anyawy, I better go, I'm being beckoned, SURPRISE!!!! B ut I'll write sooner next time! :) May 21, 2004 So what can I tell you, I went to Edmonton and was in search of racks and display stuff. I found the most amazing store for it. There was new and USED! which I'm thinikin is gonna save me a lot of $$$$. So Vicki (steve's sis) is buying a new truck, so she said that if her husband goes down to get it, that she will get him to pick up some racks for me...which would be AWESOME! It would save me a lot on shipping! Other than that, I met up with Lisa and Cody for a few brews, it was nice to see Cody. I haven't seen him in a LONG time, I bet a good 4 years. We chatted caught up on old times, talked about old times. It was kinda funny talking about the "old times" with him. We never hung out really, but I had a crush on him..LOL. So he was refreshing my memory of situations...LOL And he reminded me of a New Years party we were both at and all kinds of stuff...it was kinda cool. I bought bags for the store, pricing gun, tags, gift bags, tissue paper for the bags, and some stuff for ME! lol Today I went and picked up the primer for the store. It's REALLY REALLY bright. The guy told me that I had to get it really bright to cover the dark color that is in the store right now. So that's ok, I'll live with that. The color that I will be putting on the walls is actually a color that my son's pants are. I'm gettin excited about it now, I just hope that it's a success! |
