Chapter Ten: The Kamakazi Assignment
"Get your bras out of the fire, the Feminists have lost it!"
In 1992, not only did Bill Clinton talk like an Auxillary Soccer Mom, but he talked
like a Pro-Feminist, too- at the same time. He was allegedly pro-family
and anti-Patriachal Establishment. Maybe he was supposed to be one and Hillary the other.
Anyway, it was not long before it should have amply clear to anyone who wanted to see that
Bill Clinton was NOT pro-Feminist.
He may have married a card-carrying feminist, but
a quick glance at the manner in which he treated their relationship clearly exhibited
that he did not respect her. In 1992, Hillary was running for the office of the First Feminist. The interview the
Clintons staged with 20/20 after Gennifer Floweres came out, tapes in hand, with allegations
of a twelve year affair, should have alerted the National Organization of Women (NOW)
that they were strapping themselves to a powder keg. He was not perfect, but he was the Feminist messiah and
it isn't everyday a messiah comes along.
Anita Hill did not have the tapes Gennifer Flowers had.
Anita Hill did not have the Arkansas Troopers as witnesses that Paula Jones had.
Anita Hill did not have the Democratic Party affiliation that Kathleen Willey had.
Anita Hill did not have the youthfulness and immaturity that Monica Lewinsky had.
Anita Hill did not have the story of unsolicited, violent sexual rape that Juanita Broderick had.
Anita Hill had a memory of crass words that were allegedly uttered her way by Clarence Thomas.
No one else experienced this behavior or witnessed it. Yet, the Feminists rallied around
Anita Hill waving the banner of Sexual Harrassment that we saw grow bigger and bigger during
the nights that Anita Hill and pubic hairs on Coke cans invaded our
American households.
Anita Hill is a Feminist. It was that membership card that entitled
Professor Anita Hill to emotional and political support from her
NOW organization.
Anita Hill was not accused of bringing her allegations for the sake
of making a quick buck like Gennifer Flowers was.
Anita Hill was never called "trailor park trash" like Paula Jones was.
Anita Hill was not accused of being a liar who "wanted" the attention
she might have gotten as it was proposed of Kathleen Willey when the Administration
released her letters and/or notes to the President.
Anita Hill was not presented to the American public as being a
disturbed stalker as Monica Lewinsky was.
Anita Hill's story caused a "call to arms" reaction against
Sexual Harrassment, a poorly defined plight suffered by an
undetermined number of employees in our society. The Feminist did not
care if her story was true. They needed to help the cause. When Juanita
Broderick shared her story of violent rape, it was met with a horrid
dumbfounded silence. The Feminist did not care if her story was true.
They needed to help the cause.
I don't think the rest of the American women knew that unless we were
registered card carriers we would not be entitled to the type of help
Anita Hill got. Most of us had assumed that we would be covered by the
Women's Movement by virtue of being women. Not even Kathleen Willey, who is at least an ardant
Democrat who's family had made substancial donations to the party, was
treated with any respect or recognition by NOW.
As it was clearly revealed by the actions of the NOW gang, or rather
their lack of action during the Clinton reign, if a woman
is NOT fully aligned and in full agreement with the agenda of the NOW
organization hierachy she is NOT a woman by their definition. She is certainly not a
Feminist and she is therefore not worthy of their support and protection.
They have shown themselves to be an elitist group of Liberal women who
have no intentions of being inclusive of women who hold Conservative ideals.
I never agreed with everything that the NOW gang set forth, but I
respected the basic premise of what I perceived was their "cause",
the elevation of the quality of life of women from across the planet.
It is a shame that the NOW gang has wasted the legacy left by those
who began the Women's Movement who's motives and intentions for ALL
women were pure. They have wasted decades of time and efforts as they have
lost ground for all of us by not responding to allegations of the obvious
sexaul harrasment that Bill Clinton perpretrated on Monica Lewinsky and for not
pursuing for clarity in the question of whether Bill Clinton raped Juanita Broderick
and for allowing Bill Clinton to utilize the immense power and resources of the
office of the President of the United States to undermine, vilify and
dehumanize each and every woman who dared to bring allegations against him.
The Women's Movement will continue because it is an inalienable right
that all women be treated with the dignity and respect endowed to us by
our Creator. We will just have to be more careful about whom we allow to carry
our banner.
