Chapter Eleven: The Great and Powerful American Media

"Will we ever be able to trust you again?"

A while back I watched a roundtable forum on the role of the media in our society. There were many commentators at the table and a full audience present for the discussion, but my mind has cataloged only two of the faces and voices that were present that day.

Peter Jennings, from ABC was asked to ponder what his ethical responsibility would be in a scenario of war, where he would see the enemy coming towards an unaware and unprepared American troop.

He answered that he would render aid to the American troop by telling them of the impending danger. Mike Wallace, of CBS's 60 Minutes, offered that Mr. Jennings' answer was wrong because the role of the media was to observe and catalog an event and have no input as to the the outcome of the event- even if it meant they could prevent the loss of the lives of thier countrymen.

Peter Jennings humbly agreed and apologized to his associate for his lapse into ethics as tears rolled down my face. I could see these two men on the Korean field where my father was injured or in Viet Nam where my uncle stepped on a land mine. These two men would not have moved to save either of them.

I stared intently at their faces and tried hard to find the nobility they claimed to have and eventually decided that I just did not understand them.

Thanks to the Clinton Era, I understand them a little better now. They are Liberal, elitist, psuedo-intellectual (they show no propensity for real intellect, which is capabable of an evolution of ideas. They are just stuck in Liberal-mode, sure that any and all restraints or morals constitute oppression) They are also hypocrits or if I could boldy state, liars.

These same men who stood before me via my television sanctimoniously proclaiming that they agreed they had no responsibility to their countrymen in a life and death war scenario because to change the course of the "story" would violate their professional ethics changed the course of the 1992 Presidential Campaign in favor Bill Clinton by offering him as their favorite son. They changed the course of the 1996 Presidential Campaign and they changed the course of 1998-99 Presidential Impeachement proceedings.

The Feminist and the Media are weaving the same fabric to clothe themselves. You can only be "of them" if you are totally "with them". I guess there aren't too many Liberal wars (we do have Kosovo now), but we did have a very Liberal candidate in Bill Clinton and his Liberalness was enough for all professional ethics to be damned for the sake of making sure that a collective "THEY" got into the office of the President of the United States.

Finally, "THEY" would get a chance to lead and legislate and bring about the Liberal agenda "THEY" knew the rest us needed to live under. In their zeal, "THEY", like the Feminists, failed to see what was plain. Bill and Hilary Clinton are Liberals, but they are Liberals with Turbo buttons. They are nilistic Liberals, to whom nothing is really sacred.

This entire debacle, the Clinton Era, with all the Clinton Gates, Monica, the Impeachment and the Chinese fiascos have all been brought to us and sponsored by the ever powerful American Media, who hand picked and gently placed Bill and Hilary Clinton into office and worked so diligently to keep them there.

The media saw the Clintons though:

-failure in implimenting Gays in the MMilitary,
-failure in establishing Universal Heaalth Care
-failure to satisfactorily explain theeir White Water dealings
-failure to satisfactority explain whyy they were rifling through 900+ Republican FBI file
-failure to satisfactorily explain Craaig Livingstone and why a former bar bouncer would be given such high clearance winthin our government.
-failure to satisfactorily explain thee firings at the Travel office.
-failure to satisfactorily explain thee disappearance of Vince Foster's personal and legal files, especially those pertaining to the Clinton's White Water/Castle Grande dealings
-failure on the President's part to mediate with Congress bringing about the closing of the government. The media helped pin this on the Republicans.
-failure to be honest and forthcoming with documents and testimony before the Congress of the United States.
-failure to be honest and forthcoming before a Grand Jury and a sitting Federal Judge.
-failure to be honest and forthcoming before the American people.
-failure to help culturally diverse peoples in our country find common ground on which to bring them together. The Clintons instead chose to use the existing flames of dissention from amongst us to help them solidify votes for their campaigns and to further their personal agendas.

And as the Clintons amassed their failures, the great American Media lock stepped behind them and paraded the failures like balloons at a Macy's parade. There were so many and they were going by so quickly and they were so hastily presented, that the American public could not have possibly understood the implications of what they were viewing. The Media saw to that.
