i'm a pixie i'm a paperdoll i'm a cartoon i'm a chipper cheerful free for all and i light up a room i'm the color me happy girl miss live and let live and when they're out for blood i always give --ani difranco, "pixie"	the impending doom of being completely penniless and homeless has once again been successfully averted thanks to an error on the swedish governments' part - they gave me $200 less than supposed to for the springsemester loan and sent it to me now. hey-la hey-la! celebrations hope to include going to see the new sex pistols documentary and dying my hair pretty-pink. of course, the homeless part may still kick in if i keep almost burning the apartment down. (last scare: a few days ago i left my plugged in portable stereo on top of the stovetop while i roasted potatoes in the oven. 10 minutes into it i randomly entered the kitchen to see the stereo leaning oddly.. switch into superhero mode: i lunge for the power cord, rip it out, grab the stereo and flip it upside down onto the carpet. yes. the heat from the oven had heated the stovetop enough to melt through the plastic bottom and was about 40 seconds away from melting the actual wiring inside the stereo, causing a fire. luckily, the stereo still works, albeit have a new modernistic post-apocalyptic look to it...) i persist in doing very little but work for my teacher on his move, spend some time with angela and garrett, and still more time on the phone while reading, watching blind date and knitting skanky dresses for my barbie doll, but what can you do? well. except to dream that another sudden financial lucky streak enables me to buy those $50 tiara's i tried on in a wedding jewellery store last night. the saleswoman had murder in her eyes the 14'th time i put one on and squeaked "I'M PROM QUEEN! I'M PROM QUEEN! WOOO!" but again, what can you do? preen!
