yey--it's finalized. i'm going to visit gene for my spring break next week! i'm very much looking forward to getting to hang out in new jersey/new york for a few days again. it would seem to be an even better time than when i did the same for last year's spring break, because gene isn't working at the moment.
it means we'll get to do more things together this time--last spring, i spent most of the week wandering the streets of new york on my own while he was at work. this time, things would seem a bit more flexible (unless we're talking money-wise; we're both fashionably broke).
we can hang out, maybe catch an off-off-broadway show, maybe an upright citizen's brigade show, maybe a taping of something, maybe a museum, i don't know.. stuff. (i want to tour the nbc studios because they were sold-out of tour tickets last time and i must see the conan o'brien set! and the snl set! must!) i know he has an entire season of some fox show taped for me to watch (i don't get fox).
there hasn't been an opportunity to hang out for more than a day at a time since he graduated in 2000, so this should be fun, and with the 7-day advance ticket discount, my greyhound roundtrip will only end up being $75 (last year i spent $129 because i decided to go only a few days in advance). so, yey!
last night was amusing. around 10.30 p.m., i got a phone call from angela telling me a nine inch nails concert was about to start on the free preview cable channel. free nin!
so we waited to see what it was and.. yeah! 16 minute interview with trent reznor followed by a lot of the concert footage from the very recently released nin tour dvd! woo!
i listened to the entire trent interview over the phone, with angela describing it allll every now and then. i distinctly remember SOMEbody repeatedly saying: "pretty, pretty trent! i must rewind! gah!" .. heheheh. tivo rocks so much. and i'm getting a copy of it! so, woo!
good day? good day. will be a long day, too, since i can't go buy the greyhound ticket until after my french class tonight, but certainly worth it. beam, beam, and all that.
