dial-a-story
saturday, january 26, 2002

one of the things i really enjoy in life is to hear new stories. which is why i love to read, obviously, or watch so many movies, or listen to intense songs, or all things visual that trigger stories in my head. i just love that little sense of being tangled up in a story for a while. uh, i think they call it escapism? hahahaha. anyway.

so it would appear that having angela as my good friend has perks that not a lot of people come with. well, i mean, all my friends have perks, that's sort of a given, but angela comes with a pretty unique one. angela tells me stories.

not just in the sense that she introduces me to movies and books and songs, no. she's got her own stories that come right out of her head. it's pretty cool. we've spent hours, and i do mean hours, where she reads me stories she's written for her RPG, or story embryos dormant in folders on her computer.

like today. today she called me and told me of a few old stories she'd written and forgotten about, and she proceeded to read me one in particular that was just.. so good! it was as if she had just opened up an issue of the sandman and read the whole thing to me. except it's her own intricate story, doh.

she's the equivalent to dial-a-story for me. i think that's so cool. and it's frustrating. because she knows where the story is going, so i can't ask her "what does that mean??" because she'll just snicker and say "wait. you'll know later in the story!" .. smug writer bitch. hee hee. :)

and me, i'm making her a trent reznor calendar. it seems only fair. and i got up early this morning to take yearbook pictures with the rest of the newspaper staff only to find that no one showed up. so much for wasting my pretty, pretty make up and fresh washed clothes on nothing. feh.

and american blueberries are CLEAR on the inside! the guts! clear! the seeds--white! it's maybe slightly green tinted, but that's about it. i was very shocked. the blueberries we pick in the woods back in sweden have dark purple/blue guts, and are very juicy. i can tell you right now which country is missing out big time. heh. clear. feh! cin cin. 3:35 p.m.
