things to do when not doing other things

hi. my head ache lasted for two days. it's true. i mean, i wasn't bed-ridden or anything, just.. bad, persistent head ache. (as opposed to a migraine--this was definitely a head ache.) bleh.
so what better obsessive geeky project to start up with but.. making my very own 2002 calender! (see, i can type exclamation points without wincing in pain now. that's actually a good thing.) i know. it's beyond geeky lame. but true to my nature, it's thrilling me beyond reason.
because i don't have a good colour printer around, nor feel like buying high quality paper, i've resigned to my limitations and am making it in scales of gray, making the images look pretty crappy when printed (because they aren't high-quality scans either), but it's the process that's fun, rather than a snazzy result.
i'm keeping to two themes--artists i like, and preferably, a geeky quote with the name of the month in the lyric by said artist. so far i have managed to find 7 corresponding artists and months mentioned in their lyrics, and the rest i'm sort of stretching (maybe becomes maybe .. heh). it's sooooo time-wastingly fun!
so far i've semi-finished january, february and march (still need to tweak a lot both in photoshop and quark, but that's for a later day). below are the orig. pictures i used--click them to see the badly scanned calender pages:
january: tori amos. "she was a january girl" from black dove.
february: trent reznor. the whole lyric to la mer.. (And when the day arrives/I'll become the sky/And I'll become the sea/And the sea will come to kiss me/For I am going home/Nothing can stop me now)
march: bjork! "foot soldier march ahead" from foot soldier..
and i am indeed a rusty redhead. is there no end to the geeky madness? cin cin. 10:45 p.m.
