the flu has moved away from extreme fever and into dry coughing, the kind where it feels like you only have 20% lung capacity left and won't stop for a while. yippee.
on the other hand, i would like to pummel the next person to tell me i should go home. gee, let me think.. i'd love to? all day yesterday, TEACHERS would berate me for being around to spread the flu, as if i was just being stupid and mean. right.
apparently they forget that at the start of every damn semester, we as students are duly informed that the only valid excuse to not be in class, and especially for not showing up to a test, is a death in the family, and if that happens we better have an obituary.
believe me, i'd rather be home and in bed, too. but there are things that require me to come by.. tests to do, pictures to scan, stories to pre-edit.. we go into production this weekend, and we are doing a bigger issue than usual.. 16 pages, as opposed to our usual 10. there's plenty that needs to be done if this is all going to go smoothly.
i'm being very michael jacksony, though. if i had latex gloves and a breath-guard, i'd wear them. as it is, i go wash my hands as frequently as i can, jump out of people's proximity, and speak while covering my mouth to try and contain the flu just a bit.
i don't wish this crap on anyone, its saving grace being the speed it appears to be moving through me. heh.
anyway. i scanned my pictures from that dress rehearsal last week. they are unfortunately pretty big, so if you have a slow connection, i don't think you should click to enlarge them unless you're ready to sit and stare and growl and wait.

and NOW i am leaving. (and i hate the belarussian hockey team. grrrr! hehehe. go vonetta! i think it is SO fabulous that she, as the first black person ever, won a medal in the winter olympics. and in february, too. hee hee!) cin cin. �� 7:33 p.m.
