it's almost a wrap! (and later chatter)

i never get as many compliments on my hair as i do for my traditional post-production pre-shower hair:
i swear, people come up and tell me how great my hair looks and all i can say is: "uh, okay, it's just to hide that it's dirty." after every single night of production i end up over-sleeping and not having time to shower properly (i.e. wash and dry hair) before i run to class, so i plonk myself in front of the morning e.r. on tnt and braid it up to hide it. heh.

i got help from tania to run tonight's show. ladies free's a promo poster for a club. i just don't get why the screaming gorilla and 'ladies free' matched together but whatever. middle picture: tania trying to come up with cover songs to play on the radio. ape-y pose completely accidental. and last--tania expresses glee as we play the last song, "landslide" with smashing pumpkins. it's been a loooong day.
i swear i'll shut up now. cin cin. 11:05 p.m.

oh, i almost forgot. i'm on audionet tonight, between 8p.m. - 10 p.m. eastern time.. you're supposed to be able to hear the webcast here, but i've never gotten it to work, so i really can't vouch for anything.
i will talk a bit (because apparently i must plug some sort of giveaway next week), not much, just a bit, and tonight actually has a theme: cover songs. no, don't expect too much. as usual, when time comes to put together a theme and gather up the songs, all good options fly out my head only to return 3 minutes after the show ends.
a few that i know i will play: across the universe - rufus wainwright, satisfaction - devo, pennyroyal tea - kristin hersh, the man who sold the world - nirvana, i am superman - r.e.m., tainted love - marilyn manson, gold dust woman - hole, i have the touch - heather nova, easy - faith no more .. we'll see what else. tori only has, oh, half a million cover songs. pj got a few thousands. heh.
rapid suggestions welcome at [email protected]. cin cin. 6:35 p.m.

which "monty python and the holy grail" character are you?
this quiz was made by colleen
oh the surprise. heh heh heh heh. i don't post these often but this quiz had me giggling far too much not to. (snatched from moonridden girl, btw!) now onward with my cadbury egg breakfast. cin cin. 11:08 a.m.

i swear! it's 1:10 am and we're maybe 20 minutes away from officially wrapping our ninth issue up and drive it off to the printer! do you understand how early that is? i swear! wa-hoo!
sleep depravation and no snacks make for a goofy late-night crew. heh. all the boys have round eyes and are -- hrm, how should i put this -- overly affectionate? i swear mike the editor has hugged every chick in here tonight at least twice, when he wasn't busy sitting in my lap.
"hey why aren't we dating? we should date and then i'd marry you and you could stay!"
yeah, okay, sure mike, let's. heh.
gary's not too far behind growing fuzzy edges. with soft, squinty eyes he's emitting random giggle-fits and muttering to himself.
"i tell you, when you have your eyes open you look damn fine!"
okay, gary. thanks. now keep copy-editing or i won't give you any more of my cadbury creme eggs.
sigh. only one more issue to go. i almost miss berating the boys already. :) one more semester to go. i'll save it for then. cin cin.
p.s. anja -- d'oh! sorry for dissing your e-mail. not intentional. miss reading you. *hugs* (it's late, i can write personal shout-outs if i want to. really. )
