to sit a house

first of all, if you are canadian, or, i don't know, in canada (hi, jeremy, hee).. i got the following e-mail in my inbox from a girl named tiffaney:
"I just wanted to let you know that there is a review of your web site [the sam rockwell website, not the journal!] in Sympatico's "Net Life" magazine (the latest issue - it's a canadian magazine). I would type the review up for you, but I don't have the mag anymore, but I just thought you like to know to check it out for yourself. Your review is located near the back of the mag, where all the reviews for different sites are.
I can't remember what the review said, but you got 4 stars for your site!"
if anybody have a clue what it said, i'd be very happy and quite gooey inside if they could let me know. it's small, but it's something. now i really wish i'd updated the website a bit more lately. oh well.
so. i'm house sitting. or rather, dog sitting. said warm dog is currently curled up and sleeping on my foot. very cute. (or more like kind of sad, as it probably means he's bored as i sit here and type. must find wet tennis ball to throw about for him.) angela and family left for thanksgiving, and i get to roam about their house and play with their pet. sounds like a win-win situation to me. beam.
oddly enough, when i told people what my holiday plans were, they all expressed their sympathy. they must be mad. being cooped up for days in a house with lots of yummie food, a warm pet, hundreds of movies, tivo, books and a computer is supposed to be a -sad- thing? you lost me there. it's a kind of heaven, for sure, and compared to being just as cooped up in half a stale dorm room with only emergency cafeteria food and the same movies i've seen a dussin times... bliss.
but then, they seem more sympathetic to the whole "you are going to be alone and with no car for HOW LONG?" thing. pfft. fools. i don't think they realise that being "stranded" doesn't seem like it when you've never had a driver's license in the first place. i'm very used to staying put. going places is always a hassle when you are a non-driver.
and lonely? pshaw! been there, done that, this ain't it. this is comfortable and warm and snuggly. and there's a dog. so there. hee.
right now, i'm in the midst of debating whether to finish watching the movie Pitch Black (with commentary track on), or read a magazine, or a book (ooh, i see the jackie chan autobiography on a shelf.. ooooh.), or maybe there's something fun on teevee, or, or, there's music, and, um, games and, um, bags of food, and, and, um, did i mention the dog?!
maybe i'll go watch thumb wars, the phantom cuticle! no, back to the movie at hand, i think. hee. obviously, i'm having fun. so much to do. plenty of time to do it in. weee! 6:33 p.m.
