because i'm so lazy i didn't leave the apartment until 45 minutes before i was supposed to let friends into that same apartment. i needed to buy flowers for my graduating friend. on my way to the town market, i met large droplets of people carrying balloons and flowers. began to sweat, sure all flowers would be sold out. quick, back-up plan.. i could.. swipe mom's week old flowers in the living room? maybe steal large lilac branches and pretend i was being rustik?

eh.. they had flowers. i had them mix two boquets up into one large one and rushed home just in time.

the fresh high school graduates were so cute running out of the high school doors to sing the graduation song and other chants (my favourite is 'we have graduated, we have graduated, fuck it, we're good!' - now that's class. hee.) before letting the sea of family and friends spray them with flowers and silly billboards with huge, blownup photo's of their most embarrassing baby years. it was great.

then off we went down the road to watch all the graduates parada by on trucks and cool 50's cars, all dressed in birch tree branches and filled with the white clad freshies singing their chants and drinking champagne all around town. so cute. sigh. oh well.
