[the beginning:]
this sam rockwell site was born on july 28, 1999. it came to be when i realized there were no sam websites around at all at that time, and i felt that there really, really ought to be. hence, the first sam website was born. :)

[the purpose:]
to provide a wellrounded website with resources and up to date news for both the new and the older sam fans. it also aims to serve as a vital hub for sam fans all over the world to find each other through the hopping web board.

[the technology:]
it's all photoshop, notepad and guerilla HTML, baby. as the title suggests, this is the third incarnation of this website. this particular design grew out of one of my friend anja's lovely designs, and to prove how lovely she is: she not just let me borrow heavily from the design, she also helped me tweak the css to make it work.

because it relies so heavily on css, it was obviously designed for firefox and internet explorer in particular.

text and images is about as advanced in the multi media department as this website goes. i simply don't have the technology nor the webspace to provide other media. however, be sure to look through the link section to find other sam websites who do.
