Week Three


Tuesday, June 6th 2000 

I am dancing again tonight.  I had another loss.  This time 1.1 kilos.  This brings my total loss to 4.2 kilos.  I am now only 46 kilos away from goal.  (And only 4 kilos away from a mini goal I have set).  Once I get down to 109 kilos, the number of points I can have each day drops from 24 to 23 points.  That will be my first achievement.  (And will mean a loss of 8 kilos!).

I have done practically NO exercise this week except for the walk to the train station on Friday morning.  I planned to go for a walk today, during my lunch break, but I never even managed to stop for lunch.  I ate a salad roll while sitting at my desk.  Work is just really busy lately, and until we get some extra staff on board, there will be times that I won't be able to stop for lunch.

I have to exercise more this week.  I know that any loss is good, and definitely better than a gain, but I did want to lose it a little quicker during my first few weeks.  That will give me added motivation to continue.

I am also really bad with my water.  We are supposed to drink 8 glasses of water per day.  I am having trouble drinking one glass.  Last week I did much better.  I also ate heaps more vegies last week, and at least 3 servings of fruit each day.  I have slackened off this week, and instead have been having larger meat portions to use up my points.

I am thinking about everything that goes into my mouth though.  The other day we had a cake for my boss, who has been at Drake now for 3 years.  Of course, the cake was mudcake.  I said no when it came around.  All I could think about was 26 points per slice, 26 points per slice.  That would mean not eating anything else but that piece of cake for the entire day!  An apple looked much more appealing.
