| My great-great-grandfather, Albert Tipton Lively, sits in the wheelchair. Behind him stand his thirteen surviving children. My great-great-grandmother, perhaps not surprisingly, passed away following the birth of their last child. Judging by the age of the youngest child (up front), this photo was probably taken around 1910. A large number of the 13 children lived up to their surname by living to ripe old ages. My great-grandmother, Florence (front right, just next to the youngest boy) lived to be 100 and passed away when I was 16 years old. |
