Let me tell you a little about myself...

My name is Jenna Rae McCarty!

I live in the small town of Zanesville, Ohio. In my professional career, I have found what seems to be my dream job! I am a Senior Client-Experience Director at Disrupt Media. Disrupt Media provides businesses with social media strategies for Facebook and Instagram. I oversee a team that works with 40 businesses. We create all of the content for their social media platforms, design all of the graphics, run analytic reports, and manage and monitor what is happening on their Facebook pages. One very unique element of Disrupt Media is that 99% of our clients are FUNERAL HOMES. I do get some weird looks when I tell people that I work in the death care industry, but like every other business, funeral homes are utilizing social media more and more. Every month our content reaches over 6,000,000 people. This includes people who have recently experienced a loss, people who are who planning their end of life celebration, or is just plain curious on what type of social media a funeral home has to offer. Either way, we are helping people through difficult times of their lives, and I find that to be super special. When I receive my degree in graphic design, I plan on helping our team of graphic designers expand their creativity. We can provide innovations to the Death Care Industry. It is very exciting to see where this journey will take me, but I love every second of it!

I have a pretty cool husband!

Brice and I got married in October of 2016. I am so thankful to have such a loving and caring husband that supports me going after my dreams! When I was hesitant to go back to school, he encouraged me to do whatever was best for me and my career. So here I am, with four classes left! We recently had a new addition to our family as well! Reese Jordyn decided to make her appearance on March 2, 2018 (Finals week). Luckily I have so much help and support from my husband to make sure I do the best I can in my classes! So I just wanted to say a big THANK YOU to my husband and best friend. I appreciate you!

Hi, my name is Thor!

My name is Thor, and Jenna and Brice are my humans. I make sure my mom stays on schedule not only with work but school as well. When she does her homework, I like to correct her grammar by walking across her keyboard. I also know when she needs a break because I tend to bark when I have to go outside and lay in her lap when she types. Overall, I make sure she gets her homework turned in on Sunday nights (even if it is 11:59 pm).
