Songs n Poetry
This is a collection of lyrics, poetry, thoughts... whatever you wanna call em that I have written over the years. There's only a few. But what is here offers a little insight into the way I write and the style of music I'm into. There are no audio files as of yet because I am currently working on a demo, but it'll be a little bit before it's finished.

Around Here

People ask me all the time
Whatever happened to him?
And for a while, I didnt know what to say
So all I did
Was shrug and walk away

But ever since that day
I watched from the door
As you walked away
Home just hasnt
Been the same

Around here
Theres no one to love
And I miss you too much
Around here
Theres no one to
Hold onto like you

And I can still see the light
Shining in your eyes
But then I open mine
And realize
Its just the lightnin outside
Burnin bright
And Im wishin you were
Here with me tonight

Around here
Its cold and lonely
Without you baby
Around here
I cant breathe
Cuz youre breakin me

Around here
Theres no one to love
And I miss you too much
Around here
Theres no one to
Hold me like you do
The Light

If we could see into our souls
Would we be scared by what was there
Life has many surprises
But when we listen to our hearts
There we find even more
I do believe that all our dreams
Still lead to the end of the rainbow
Which is where we are
In ourselves and all our lives
We only need to recognize
This is who we are

Where is the light
That we were born with
The fire in your has died
Why do we hurt ourselves and each other
Where is the light
That was in your eyes

Have you ever looked into a babys eyes
And seen what weve yet to realize
Life begins with the love and the light
That we all have inside
Thousands of dreams we have
Can still be reality

Where is the light
That we were born with
The fire in your eyes has died
Why do we hurt ourselves and each other
Where is the light
That was in your eyes

All we need is to believe
We can all believe
We have the love and the dreams to succeed
Now all we need
Is to hold each others hands

Where is the light
That we were born with
The fire in your eyes has died
Why do we hurt ourselves and each other
Where is the light
That was in your eyes
There is the light
I see in your eyes
The pain and the sorrow have gone
The thoughts and the biases, the ideas
Of all before
Are all now gone
Dreamcatcher

Have you seen them hanging
Above the bed or rearview mirror
Of the foolishly believing
Who cant see their own power
Have you seen them made
The work thats put in
Or heard someone say
That they have faith within
That theres works, has never failed
All their wishes, all their dreams
Are given attention in great detail
By their little friend above the window seams
Well that is what I am
I am the dreamcatcher
Lets see what I have
All the hopes of the dreamer
Every desire and aspiration
Is held within my hand
But all I do is hold them
I have no sturdy ground on which to stand
And the harder I hold onto them
The more they drip like sand
I have no power to make them true
I cant make things happen
I am transparent, see-through
But Im laughing again
Theres a kind of sick humor
In living hopelessly
I cant feel pain or pleasure
I add color only
To this bleached-out existence
Though it doesnt do much good
And I dont see the sense
In me, though there are some that could
But they are simply biased
Living in delusion
They cant see Im just a pest
Something to add confusion
Yes, I am the dreamcatcher
Thats hung above the bed
Just a dreamer
Everythings in the head
I am the dreamcatcher
Hanging above the bed
But would I be worth it
If all the dreams were dead
Lemmings

I cant put into words
Just how I feel
I watch the masses, the herds
And it seems so surreal
They are like the lemmings
Hopelessly lost in the crowd
Living on others dreams
Entertaining like clowns
They cant see the edge is near
Theyre too caught up in the game
And by the time they see clear
The dreams are falling away
Off the side of the cliff
Fallen into dark forever
They could have saved them if
They had taken shelter
In the beauty of their own souls
And not the commercial ads
Not the beauty marks (theyre moles)
Or the ever-changing fads
If only they couldve seen
Before it was too late
The one they held within
And then, let it radiate
But thats the fate of lemmings
The poor stupid beasts
They never see the ending
Until after theyve been beat
And they dont see their potential
Or acknowledge that its there
I guess they never will
I guess they just dont care
