With a picturesque tyne valley view, Whitchester Cottage is situated on a working dairy and sheep farm adjoining the farm house. The farm is just a mile from the small town of Haltwhistle, the centre of Britain.
Whitchester is on the Bus Route 685 from Carlisle to Newcastle, just a mile away is the local train station in Haltwhistle.
Out & Around
Whitchester cottage is ideally situated to explore Hadrians Wall and Roman forts including Vindolanda & Housteads, aswell as Northumberland National Park.
Within an hours drive is the historic city of Carlisle to the west, the old market town of Hexham to the east along with Kielder Water, which is home to a wide range of outdoor activities.
