One can see the excelent detail of the POSKY aircraft model here with it's flexing wingtips and landing gear detail. The Sydney city is viewable in the distance with the prominent Opera house prominent close to the harbour. |
From the cockpit of the 767-336ER, VH-ZXC is on finals for runway 16R on the ILS. Gear is down and flaps set to 25 for landing. The Pilot although having Autoland capability available eventually disengaged autopilot and landed manually which is often the case.
Touchdown on runway 16R at Sydney in the Qantas 767-336ER VH-ZXC. The odd design of the 767 landing gear can be seen here with the front wheel of the bogies touching down first. They were designed like that so as to fit into the wheel bays, but the side effect is that landings often feel a little 'heavier' to passengers.
VH-ZXC seconds after touch down on runway 16 Right at Sydney International Airport. Spoilers have deployed and nose gear still airborne. Reverse thrust is yet to be deployed. In this shot you can se well into the 'innards' of the wing as the spoilers come up, and also the Main Gear bogeys, now pressed flat to the ground.

Qantas 767-228 VH-EAQ Touching down on runway 27 at Melbourne, Australia. the detail on this repaint of the Posky 767-200 is quite amazing. The spoilers have not yet deployed and the wings are still producing lift at the edges which is apparent by the way the wings are still flexing slightly. Click picture to see it full size!
Qantas 767-228 VH-EAQ on the runway after touchdown. In this close up, one can see the detail of the POSKY visual model, as the aircraft begins breaking. Here the Spoilers are out, flaps fully extended and reverse thrust operating, and one can see all of these systems in detail in this picture.
