A US Navy F-14A Tomcat hooked up to the Catapult of the USS Carl Vincent. The Carrier operations addon for FS2002 shows the catapult armed and ready to go.
F-14A Tomcat lands on USS Carl Vincent, trapping the number 2 wire on touchdown. A relitavley smooth landing this time.
From the cockpit of a Navy fighter, the moment of touchdown from the front seat of a F-14 Tomcat landing on the USS Carl Vincent (addon for Flight Sim 2002.)
A slightly rough touchdown producing smoke as this F-14A takes the number 1 wire on this landing on USS Carl Vincent in Flight Sim 2002.
An interesting shot which looks like steam escaping from the steam driven catapult... actually it's the result of locking the breaks on touchdown, but the effect looked cool anyway.
An EA-6b on finals to the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vincent CVN70. This shot showing the flaps full down and airbreak extended just a few seconds from touchdown.
EA-6b touches down and takes the wire on the USS Carl Vincent CVN70. The airbreak is now stowed as the pilot prepares for a touch and go, but it is not neccicary as the aircraft catches the wire which brings it to a halt..
Something quite different, a Citybird 767-33A OO-CTA on approach to Sydney airport, passing some well-known landmarks. Citybird was a Belgian airline. They never operated into Sydney however in real life.
A sight soon to become farmiliar in Australian Skies. Australian Airlines 767-338 on approach to an Australian airport. Australian Airlines is to be a low cost international airline servicing Southeast Asia from Cairns and other ports. It is due to start in spring of 2002 and is a branch of the Qantas identity. The aircraft will be ex-Qantas 767's.
