"Best of luck" the woman said as she shook Alea's hand. Once Alea was out of the office she felt completely shocked. She could not believe what just happened.
"What are you talking about Scott?" Abs asked. "Me and Alea have been talking these past few weeks, ever since Rich came by. She was hinting that she wanted to take some time of work and travel. So as a surprise I've organized everything! We're gonna be going on a world tour. Plus we get to see all our family and friends. Just like Rich said, if you wanna see them you gotta go yourself." Scott said happily. "Man, that sounds like fun" Abs said. "Yeah, I can't wait to tell Alea tonight" Scott said excitedly.
Once Alea walked through the door, Scott was standing their waiting for her. "Come Alea we have to talk" Scott said showing his excitement. "Good, cause I wanna talk too" Alea said as they headed to the living room. "Me first, me first!" Scott said. Alea couldn't help but laugh, "Go ahead" she laughed. "Remember what we were talking about these past few nights?" Scott asked. "Yeah?" Alea answered. "Well I decided to get up off my butt and do something about it. So today I went to the travel agent and booked a year travel spree, all around the world. We leave for a cruise to start it all off next week" Scott said really excited. "Wow!I'm speechless" Alea smiled. "So what was it that you were gonna tell me?" Scott asked curiously. "Actually, ironically enough I just told the office I was taking a two year absence" Alea smiled. "Wow! How perfect is that!" Scott said as he hugged her. "Our lives our so perfect at this moment" Scott whispered in her ear as he hugged her. Alea could only fight back the tears.
"Are you sure you'll be alright?" Alea asked for the hundredth time. "Yes. I'll be fine" Abs reassured her. "It will be nice to have the house to myself for a year." "Gosh I'm so nervous!" Alea said. "Why? Your going on a trip your supposed to relax" Alea plopped herself on the bed with a sigh. "Abs...... Can you keep a really, really, really big secret?" "Of course" He said as he sat beside her. "I'm... Well I'm..... Gosh I really don't know how I'm supposed to say this. As of now no one knows..... I'm.... I'm pregnant." She looked up and waiting for a response. After a few seconds of silence Alea had to say something. "Well don;t you have anything to say?" "Uh..... Wow!" Abs replied. "Wow? I just tell you the most amazing news and all you can say is wow?" Alea snickered. "When are you going to tell Scott?" He asked. "Sometime during the two-week cruise. I just have no clue when. That's what I'm nervous about." "You have nothing to worry about. You know Scott will be thrilled" "That's not what I'm worried about" Alea said. "Okay I'm confused. Then what are you worried about?" "You know Scott. He over reacts about everything. He's gonna treat me like I'm a child..." "Yeah, and like your not gonna enjoy every second of it?" Abs asked sarcastically. "Shut up!" Alea laughed.
"Wow! This is one big boat!" Alea said amazed as she looked up at the monstrous structure. "It's gonna be amazing!" Scott said as he dragged Alea to the gates.
"Enjoy your time in Paradise" The attendant said. "So where is home for the next two weeks?" Alea asked once they got on the ship. "Umm, it should be just around this corner..... Yep here it is." Scott held up the credit card key and looked up at Alea, "Here we go" he said as he opened the door.
"Oh my god! This is amazing.!" Alea almost screamed. "Welcome home." Scott said as he began to take her on tour. "Here is our bedroom. Complete with King size bed, private bathroom with shower, toilet and Jacuzzi. Here is our dining room, complete with chandelier and a small view balcony. And this is our living room, complete with mini-bar, top of the line stereo, tv and dvd player. And this is our phone, along with program and menu book. From here we can order gourmet meals, or a relaxing spa day for two." Scott said as he wrapped himself around Alea. "I'm starting to think you've been cheating on me with our travel agent" Alea laughed. "Yes, I'm having an affair with Mike the travel agent" Scott laughed.
~Meanwhile~
Abs sat watching tv. Quiet. It was so nice to be alone for a change. Suddenly he heard footsteps. He quickly turned off the TV and listened carefully. Someone was opening the front door. He grabbed the first thing he say. One of the guys award statuettes. It would have to do. He saw the figure coming quietly closing the door. Who ever it was was definitely in for a surprise. Abs raised his arm and got ready to swing...................
