| Nietzsche feels that people who are Christian are merely trying to justify their weakness and powerlessness over sin and sinful nature. He feels that Christians would rather blame their sin on someone else so they don't have to deal with it. He thinks it is bad because he feels that Christians don't take responsibility for their own actions. Which is ridiculous, Christians do take responsibility for their own actions by blaming Christs death on themselves. Nietzche needs to research more before accusing. He is not a profound thinker as you say. He also seems to think "that Christians curses, condemns, and slanders the world". Which is also ridiculous. Christians love the everyone in this world. He feels that Christianity is a lie and that he asks people to declare war with it. OK this guy sounds hateful. Sorry I'm no longer going to read some joe blow person from years and years ago that his only motive is to bash a whole generation of people and ask to go to war with them and kill all of them. He is no better then the terrorists on Sept 11th, and Al Quaeda, and Saddam Hussein. I don't know how you all feel but when it comes to argumentation. The debate should only use reasoning, intelligence, and etc. Their should never be hatred, or violence, or use of hurtful words. When I debate with someone I feel that even if I disagree I still respect that person. I respect people that disagree with me. However, when name calling starts flying, and violence errupts I no longer respect that person. So I no longer respect Nietzsche. He bashes multiple religions if you read deep into it and calls war upon them. So much for peace huh? It's sad that a school forces us to subject to this. Anyways I will continue with his definition of transvaluation of of values. He feels that this implies "spontaneous motives, all new, future, and stronger motives, are still extant; but that they now appear under false names and false valuations, and have not yet become conscious of themselves." |

| Will to Power (2)
What I got from this was that he is saying that human beings used to believe tools and etc., were alive and able to control us. Because of this human beings felt insecure and had to use these tools as a way of controlling others, however, because of this we let money become the power and from now on we are forever trying to keep up with money. Truth (16) It seems to me Nietzsche is saying that we humans invented a so called "truth". We all feel like we are the center of the universe and everything revolves around us. We only care about ourselves and our truths. Yet as Nietzsche gave as an example that if you were to ask a mosquito he'd claim that mosquito's were the center of the world. He is saying that maybe truth is simply our way of defining things. Yet he questions how can you really ultimately know if something is true or not since even nature still has secrets hidden to us. God (35) He is saying in this area that even if there were to be a metaphysical or spiritual world out there what good would it be to try to learn of it. He feels that we could spend much better time on other things of importance. He feels that if there was such a thing you wouldn't be able to talk, ask, feel, or even know it truly existed and it would be inevitable to come to anyhow. God (40) I'm not really sure what he's meaning by this but I'll take a stab at it. I feel he is saying that due to the fact that we have let morality slip by we have let God and the knowledge of God slip by in the universe. Since we are so concerned over ourselves and not of others we have forgotten and by forgetting we have killed Him. I hope that makes sense. Immoralist (64) Nietzsche is saying that Christians seem to not follow the word that Christ gave to them. He feels that Christians say to not follow the passions of the body like sexuality, and using Christs statement that if one eye sins we should cut it out, yet no Christian does this. Therefore we are allowing the human passions in us. He is also stating that a dentist pulls out a hurting tooth, so to should we pull out what is causing our demise. He feels the church switched from this to being self fulfilling. Guilt (95) He is saying here that the priest is saying that because we did something of a bad nature we should feel guilty. And that guilt feeling leads us to know when we have sinned. And because of this the priest says the suffering that we feel is deserved and we should accept the punishment and dwell in it. I feel that you should never dwell in this at all. You move on. Learn from your mistakes. |
