Enhanced CD Releases
In 1998 Maiden were the first band to merge their music with the latest technology and give their fans a radical new medium in which to listen and watch their music.
The multi media concept is not a new one but no band had attempted to combine their sound and image into the one source and it was only fitting that Maiden should grab the bull by the horns and issue their 12 albums in this new format.
So what the fans got was 9 studio albums and three live studio albums all released in this new ''Enhanced'' format. But that was not all.
The CDs all included:-
1. Original studio tracks plus bouns tracks not found on earlier releases.
2. At least 2 videos from that era the album was recorded.
3. Background credits and individual backround biographies for each album release.
4. Web links.
5. An Eddie picture Gallery.
6.Tour dates/ family trees and other multimedia surprises.
7. Deluxe packaging and 24 page booklet with every CD issue.

To promote the Enhanced releases Maiden produced two promo CDs for the USA. One was a 12 track audio CD and the other a mix of audio and video footage.
The USA CD Rom 1, pictured above, features some of the enhanced CD Rom sections from the remastered Maiden catalogue.
The CD Rom contains:-
1. Press release.
2. Full length video of Fear of the Dark.
3. Biography and photo gallery from Iron Maiden.
4. Tour dates and tour photos from Powerslave.
5. Album section Live At Donington.
The CD Rom in the card sleeve is a picture disc and is the same as the sleeve cover. This US CD Rom is the same as the UK issue only the cat. nos are diffirent.
USA cat no is Ironsam1 under licence to Raw Power/ EMI and Castle Copyright 1998.
UK cat no is Hellrom001 under licence to EMI records 1998.
As with most US promos this is getting more difficult to pick up. Prices can vary between $20 - $50.
