Jelena Dokic is in the final of the "Acura Classic" in San Diego! A magnificent week for Jelena continued last night, when she defeated Anna Kournikova of Russia, in 3 sets, 6-7, 7-6, 6-0, after saving two match points. The match was really tensed in the beginning, with Jelena losing the first set, especially due to the huge number of double faults. The second set continued the same way. Kournikova missed two match points, when leading 5-4. After the tie-break, there were no more problems for Jelena, who cruised passed Anna Kournikova, 6-0 in the decider.

Jelena is already qualified for the second round, where she will meet either Peng Shuai of China, or Tina Pisnik of Slovenia. The first real opponent of Jelena could be Kim Clijsters, in the quarter finals.
