About Me
I'm a 52 year old R.N.,Viet Nam veteran. I work in a state long term care setting for veterans and their families. I'm married (29 years this July 2000) with one daughter. I enjoy hunting for dove, pheasant, and especially deer. I fish when I can which isn't nearly often enough.

I was in Viet Nam from 1 Feb 1970 until 24 Jan 1971. (see the Vietnam page)
I graduated from high school in 1966 and joined the Navy. I went to boot camp in San Diego CA. in December that year. I went to Corps school in San Diego and graduated August of 1967. I was assigned to Field Medical Service School (a prerequisite for Vietnam) and then assigned to the Naval Hospital in Camp Pendelton. After 6 months I was reassigned to the Naval Hospital in Yokohama Japan and sent TDY to a Dispensary in a housing activity in Yokosuka Japan. I spent 18 months there before I recieved orders to Vietnam. After Vietnam I came home and started worn in the VA Hospital at home and went on from there to become a manager of a Pizza Hut for a while and then I became a frabricating Optician working for Bausch & Lomb. I later moved into Dispensing and stayed with that for 17 years. I became dissatisified with dispensing and in a dispute with the company that I worked for I quit and went to school to become an R.N.. Which is what I am doing to this day. I've been an R.N. for 6 years now and still love what I'm doing. The only problem is I still don't know what I want to do when I grow up.

UPDATE:

It is now 2008 and my life has changed in ways I could not have forseen in 2000 when I first created this page. On July 7th 2003 my wife of 32 yrs 11 months and 1 week passed away of a cardiac condition. I decieded it was time to be on my own again and was not even looking for another spouse. I forgot to take into account Gods sense of humor. In November of that year I was introduced to a lady by a mutual friend. We spent several months talking to each other both on the computer and the phone. We agreed to meet and she came to see me and I went there to see her. To make a long story short, we married the 29 of May 2004. I have to say it was the best thing I have ever done. She moved to my state (Great Plains)for two years and then we moved to her state (South Eastern)and again it was one of my better moves. I no longer work in a state Long Term Care setting. I'm still in long term care but I now work for a private facility.
