| Jeff had ridden his bike for an hour or so, and then went into his studio to work on his music. He had been in there for quite awhile, and wasn�t going to go back into the house until he had cooled down. He was so irritated with his Matt that he didn�t even want to look at him. He had his headphones on and was laying down a track when somebody tapped him on the shoulder. After jumping because it scared him, he turned around and saw Ryann. He took the headphones off, and she said, �I�m sorry honey, I didn�t mean to startle you.� �It�s ok. I just wasn�t expecting anybody.� �Are you ok? You seem tense.� �I am fine, just pissed at Matt.� �Why?� �It�s nothing that you need to be burdened with. Did you find a dress?� �Yes, I did. It�s so beautiful. It only took me about three hours to find it. Now tell me what is going on between you and Matt.� �He�s just an asshole, that�s all.� �Jeff, I don�t think I�ve ever heard you call him an asshole before. What happened?� �He asked me why I was rushing to marry you, and If you were worth all of the hassle that we�ve been going through with Chris.� �Oh.� Ryann said, as the tone of her voice changed. Jeff took her hands and looked into her eyes. �Ry, you are not a hassle, and you are definitely worth it.� �I don�t want to cause any problems between you and your brother.� �You�re not. Something is going on with Matt, and I�m not sure what. But nothing anybody can say or do will change the fact that I love you. And we are going to get married next weekend, with or without anybody�s approval. As long as we want to, then what does it matter to anyone else?� �Jeff, I hate it when you and Matt fight.� �I just got pissed, but everything is going to be fine, I promise.� Jeff stood up and kissed Ryann. �So, can I see your dress?� Jeff asked. �No�� Ryann said. �It�s bad luck.� �Ok� �So I called my brother and told him. He said he was coming. I told him to fly into Raleigh, and we�d have someone there to pick him and Carey up.� �Did you call your parents?� �I tried, but they weren�t there. Jess was, and she gave me shit because we left without saying goodbye. I explained, and now it�s cool. She�s going to have my mom or dad call when they get home.� �Good.� Jeff said. �Do you think they�ll be mad?� �I don�t care. I love you, and that is all that matters.� �So, do you want to go out for lunch or something?� �Sure. Do you want to take a shower first?� �I�d better, I am kind of dirty�� Jeff and Ryann went into the house, and Jeff got into the shower. Ryann walked into the living room and told Matt and Lexi what they were doing. Matt looked at Ryann and said, �Will you tell Jeff that I am sorry?� �Sorry for what Matt?� Ryann inquired. �We got into an argument earlier, just tell him I am sorry for what I said.� Matt walked over to Ryann and gave her a hug. �I am really glad that my brother has found you. You do make him happy, and for that, I love you.� Ryann hugged Matt, and then gave him a confused look. �Whatever you say Matt.� �Jeff just took what I said the wrong way. I am happy that the two of you are getting married, and I couldn�t have picked a better woman for him to marry. Please just make sure he knows I am sorry, ok?� �Yes Matt, I will.� �Lexi and I are going over to her apartment for awhile, so tell Jeff we said later.� �Have fun you two.� Matt and Lexi left, and Ryann sat down in front of the television. Jeff got out of the shower and walked out to the living room in his towel. �Did Matt and Lexi leave?� �Yes, they went to her place for awhile, I guess. Matt told me to tell you that he was sorry for this morning.� �OK� so I am going to go get dressed. Do you want to help me?� �Help you darling�� Ryann replied. �If I go �help� you, we�ll never get out of here to go to lunch.� �That�s ok with me. I would rather spend the afternoon here making you scream my name than to go eat lunch somewhere.� �Jeff�� Ryann started. �What? You know you like to scream my name when we�re doing it.� �Well that is because I love you darling.� �That�s because you like it, and nobody does it like me.� Jeff walked over to Ryann and pulled her to her feet. He pulled her into him, and kissed her. �Come on sweetie� don�t you love me?� �Well that�s a stupid question. Of course I do.� �Then let�s go into the bedroom�� Jeff said as he led Ryann by her hand to their bedroom. Jeff shut the door behind them, and then dropped his towel. He walked over to Ryann and started kissing her. Moments later her clothes were on the floor and the two of them were making love. After they finished, Jeff held Ryann in his arms, and they talked. �So honey,� Jeff said. �Do you want to have a boy or a girl?� �As long as the baby is healthy, I don�t care. Do you have a preference?� �Not really, I was kind of leaning toward a girl, but you�re right, as long as the baby is healthy.� �Have you thought of any names for the baby yet?� Ryann asked. �If it�s a girl, I�d like to have her middle name be after my mom. Other than that, I haven�t thought about it. What about you?� �I like Lauren for a girl, and Braden for a boy. But we don�t even have to worry about it right now, we have eight months to worry about it.� �Do you want to do anything while we�re on vacation?� �I actually just like being home. We don�t get to spend a lot of time here, and I am really enjoying it. Did you want to go somewhere? If you want to we can.� �No Ryann, I just wanted to make sure that you didn�t want to.� The phone rang, so Ryann reached over and picked it up. �Hello?� �Ryann?� �Yes, hi mom.� �Hi sweetie. Your sister just told me that you called a short while ago, and that you had something important to talk to me about. Are you ok?� �Yes Mom, I am fine. I just have some news.� �Well, what is it?� �Well, you know that Jeff and I left early because of Chris, and I just want to make sure he stays out of my life. So Jeff and I have decided to have a small wedding here in North Carolina.� �That is fine honey, what ever you want will be fine with your father and I.� �We are going to do it next weekend. We understand if you and Dad can�t come because it is short notice.� �Ryanna, don�t you think you are rushing things a bit?� �No mom, I don�t. We are getting married next weekend, and if you don�t want to be here, that is fine. But I am not doing anything to please other people anymore. So can you come, or not?� �I will have to talk to your father first, so I will call you after he gets home tonight, and we�ve talked about it.� �Ok mom. Talk to you later.� �Bye.� Ryann hung up the phone, and turned over to Jeff. �What did she say?� �That she�d have to talk to my father before giving me an answer.� Ryann climbed out of bed and got dressed. Jeff did the same. �Honey,� Jeff said. �Don�t get all worked up. I am sure your father will want to come.� �I know�� Ryann replied. �I am going to pick up the house a little, so if you want to go back to the studio and work on your music, that�s fine.� �I think I will, I want to finish laying down the track I was working on earlier. Come out and get me when you�re done, and I�ll take you to dinner or something.� �That is what you said earlier, and we ended up in bed.� Ryann smiled at Jeff. �Well I can�t help it that you are so irresistible.� Jeff leaned down and kissed Ryann, and then headed out the door and over to the studio. Ryann started picking up the dishes and cleaning the kitchen. She turned on the stereo, and wasn�t paying attention to anything going on around her. She was loading the dishwasher when somebody grabbed her from behind, covered her mouth, and dragged her out of the house. They tied a blindfold on her, gagged her, threw her into a car, and took off. |
