| ~ Chapter Thirty-One ~ |
| Ryann woke up the next morning sick again, and spend half an hour in the bathroom. When she climbed back into bed, Jeff said to her, I think you should go see a doctor. Youve been getting sick for a couple of days in a row. Jeff, I am fine, really. Then why are you sick again this morning? I dont want to talk about it right now. Its not the time. But we do need to talk about some things. Well, I am concerned about you Ry, and I dont want you to neglect yourself for the WWE. Your health is most important. Honey, I am fine. I know that you dont believe me, but I am. I know why I am getting sick, and I will be ok. Tell me why then. If its not such a big deal, why cant you tell me? Jeff asked. Ryann took a deep breath and said, Ok, Ill tell you right now. I didnt want to tell you like this, but here goes. Ryann sat up in bed and took her ace bandage and air cast off her foot. What are you doing? Jeff inquired. Ryann stood up, and walked around the room. Jeff had a very puzzled look on his face as he watched her. As you can see, my ankle is completely fine. Ryann said. I never did sprain it. I just couldnt wrestle last night, and I didnt want to have to explain to everyone why. Why couldnt you wrestle Ryann? Jeff asked. Ryann walked over and sat on the edge of the bed next to Jeff. She looked down into his eyes, and said, I couldnt wrestle last night, and I cant wrestle for quite awhile because I am pregnant Jeff. For a moment, time seemed as if it had stopped as they just looked at each other. Jeff finally reacted, and sat up in bed, grabbed Ryann, and pulled her into his arms. He kissed her, and said, Did you think I would be mad? No, not mad. I just didnt want to tell you here in Boston. Ryann replied. I wanted the time to be right. So who else knows? Jeff asked. Just Lexi. I was going to tell Amy, but I figured that since you are the father, you should be one of the first to know. Lexi knew because she went to the drug store with me to get the test. So how did you get an air cast to fake the ankle sprain? Lexi brought me to a doctor she went to medical school with. Dont be mad at her, she was just trying to help me out. I am not mad at all Ryann. I am I cant even find the words to tell you how I am feeling. Jeff grabbed Ryann and pulled her down onto the bed with him, and kissed her. Then he got up out of bed and said, Come on! Lets go wake everyone up and tell them. Jeff smiled at Ryann, and she smiled back as she got up. The two of them got dressed and walked down to Matt and Lexis door. Jeff knocked on the door four times, until Matt finally got up to answer it. When he opened the door, his eyes were half shut. He looked at the two of them, and said, Oh, its you. Matt turned around and climbed back into the bed so Jeff and Ryann followed him into the room. Get up! I have some news!! Jeff said. News about what? Matt asked as he was trying to sleep. Ryanns pregnant! Jeff said, ever so calmly. Matt sat straight up in bed and looked at his brother, then at Ryann, and back to his brother. What did you just say? He said that I am pregnant Matt. Ryann said. Youre pregnant? How did this happen? Matt asked. Well Matt, you do know about the birds and the bees, dont you? Jeff said jokingly. You know what I mean. Matt said sternly. So now you have a sprained ankle and youre pregnant? Lexi sat up in bed and said, No you ding dong. She didnt sprain her ankle. We just said that because she wasnt going to tell Jeff yet. That didnt last for long. Lexi glared at Ryann. You knew and didnt tell me? Matt asked Lexi. Of course I didnt tell you, I was asked to keep it a secret. You ARE supposed to keep secrets when youre asked, arent you Matt? Lexi said matter-of-factly. So I am going to be an uncle. Thats pretty cool. Matt said. And I am going to be a father. Jeff said, and a strange look came over his face. Im going to be a father. That sounds weird. So when are you going to tell Dad? Matt inquired. I dont know, I havent thought about it. I just found out myself about ten minutes ago. And Ryann has to tell her parents. Lexi piped in. I may wait to tell my parents, until after Ive left Vermont. Ryann stated. Why? Matt asked. Well, my parents will either disown me, or they will be bouncing off the ceilings, and announcing it to the entire world. If they make choice number two, Chris will find out, and probably try to kill me, or Jeff, because I am telling you, he is not playing with a full deck. Youre going to have to tell them something, you did go talk to them at the show, right? Jeff asked. Yes, but lets not talk about it right now. Ryann said. So you and Lexi are going to Myrtle Beach for the week? Jeff asked, changing the subject. Yes, we are. Lexi said. Yeah, and I know you are going home first Matt, so whatever you do, dont tell Dad! Ryann and I should be the ones to tell him. Jeff told his big brother. Dont worry, I wont say anything. Jeez, youd think I was the town gossip the way the two of you talk. Matt said jokingly. Sorry. So anyway we will let the two of you go back to sleep. I will call the shuttle to take the two of you and Amy to the airport at one oclock. Ryann said. You arent going to drive us? Lexi asked. I just want to get on the road as soon as possible. Four hours in the car is a long ride. Ryann replied. Yeah it is. Jeff said. Well alright Matt replied. Just make sure you stop and see us before you go. And dont worry about calling the shuttle Ryann; well take care of it. Are you sure Matt, because I can call them? Ryann said. Im sure, now you two run along Matt said shooing them out the door. Well see ya later! Jeff and Ryann headed back up to their room to pack up their stuff, and after calling the shuttle, Matt crawled back into bed with his girlfriend. Ryann and Jeff packed up their things, and were ready to go. They stopped by Matt and Lexis room to say goodbye, and then headed downstairs to check out. Jeff and Ryann then brought their bags down to the car, and left Boston, heading for Vermont. |
